Seriously. It's likely going to be Streep, Williams, or Davis. Unless they decide to do a make-up Oscar and give it to Close. In any case, girl doesn't have a shot in hell.

Remember when there was buzz that Blake Lively was the reason Megan Ellison/Annapurna backed out of financing Soderbergh’s new thriller Side Effects? Well, it seems like where there’s smoke there’s fire. Blake has been officially replaced on the film by the newly Oscar-nominated Rooney Mara...

Now that Blake’s out, it’s possible that Annapurna will still finance the film but nothing has been confirmed. Poor girl didn’t stand a chance against Lisbeth once those Academy Award nods were announced.

It sounds like the investors were not too fond of Lively being cast as a lead.

Annapurna pictures agreed to sign with Open Road and distribute Steven Soderbergh’s psychological thriller Side Effects, but they’ve since dropped out. Rumor has it that the casting of Blake Lively as one of the leads caused Ellison’s company to back out.

I don't think she ever had a chance in hell of winning this year, but I'd say that as long as she continues to act like the world's biggest wet dishrag she's probably not going to endear herself to many of the people who give these things out. Most of the geriatric Academy voters probably don't relate that well to a modern multi-pierced bisexual goth character as it is. When the actress playing her is going around acting withdrawn, glum, underwhelmed, awkward, and ungrateful, well, as someone mentioned upthread, many people probably think that she's not having to work too hard to play an antisocial character.
Unless she changes I could see her going the way of Val Kilmer -- talented, but so insufferable that she can't get work!

She looks so awkward and uncomfortable in those photos, like she doesn't know what to do with her hands. Maybe she is just another Kristen Stewart. However, here's a hint: if you're really that painfully shy, why not find a job that doesn't require you to be in the public eye? Go and do something useful with yourself instead.
