Catching Fire's casting has been on point so far, but Finnick's casting will be crucial. I almost feel sorry for whomever they cast. The fury of an entire fandom and the tide of the internet will be baying for blood if they get it "wrong".

Sources tell Zap2it exclusively that the most coveted role in "The Hunger Games" sequel "Catching Fire" has been cast -- and British actor Sam Claflin has got the gig. Official reps for the film won't comment on the casting, but our reliable sources reveal that producer Nina Jacobson and Lionsgate have signed off on Clafin's offer.

Now he just has to accept the role!

Claflin beat out actors like Jennifer Lawrence's "X-Men: The First Class" costar Lucas Till and "90210" hunk Trevor Donovan for the role -- as well as more recognizable names, like Armie Hammer and Garrett Hedlund.

The British actor is best known for playing Kristen Stewart's childhood sweetheart, William, in "Snow White and the Huntsman." He also had a role in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," as Philip.

I don't mind him, certainily is cute.

I hated him in Snow White. Found his bland and completely forgettable. Not the Finnick I pictured and I've been pretty happy with the casting so far.

While I think it would be hard for any actor to actually fit the physical description of Finnick, that guy does not read golden boy, tanned beach Adonis at all. I actually think that while the casting has been dead on for the female roles, the male parts have been hit or miss. Neither Peeta or Gale were bad in the first film but I still think they could've found better actors. Was not crazy about Woody Harrelson as Haymitch either and I usually like him. I did like Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz in their parts and am interested to see Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch.

Are there any other major parts left for the second film?

I'm down for TS as Beetee, Melissa Leo as Mags....not so much. I pictured her older and more frail. I hope ML takes it down a notch in the role.
