Ok, no one saw The Muppets!?
I saw it today. It was so much fun! I just think it's so cute Jason Segel is living out his lifelong dream. It was fun, funny, sweet - everything you'd expect from a Muppet movie!
I usually can't stand Amy Adams, but her "twee" worked in this.

I can't wait to see The Muppets. Love them! The reviews for this movie have been fantastic. Last time i checked it was around 97% on rotten tomatoes. I read it only cost $45 mil to make and it looks on track to make that over the 5 day holiday weekend.
I read that they are thinking of bringing the muppet show back. The success of the movie may be a factor in that. It would be fabulous to have them update the show. Pigs in space!

Divaspawn 1&2 saw it yesterday with my niece and loved it! Ds1 has watched the original Muppet Movie since birth and she was so happy that this one lived up to that one. The kids said the theater was packed and the audience thoroughly enjoyed it.

This movie was a lot of fun. Well done, Jason Segel! I thought the celebity cameos were done really well too - my theater just about roared with approval when Jim Parsons showed up.

What an adorable movie! The kids in the audience seemed to love it, and it certainly had enough nods to the Muppets of yore to entertain 30-year-old me and my 60-year-old mom. Getting Bret Mckenzie to write the songs was a total stroke of genius. I loved all the little Flight of the Conchords-esque touches, like the whole "Am I Muppet or am I Man?" number. Some of the meta "hey! we're totally in a movie!" jokes got a little old for me, but I suppose they were intended to keep the adults entertained and keep the whole thing from getting overly twee.
I loved the celebrity cameos too, Mutagen. There was even a cameo by a friend of mine from high school! (She's the pretty girl sitting in front of Amy Adams during the "Me Party" number.)

Does Bret appear in the movie by any chance? He's my guilty Kiwi crush...

I'm trying to remember if Bret was in this...I saw Dave Grohl doing drums for "The Moopets", which was hilarious in itself.
The movie was PERFECT. Not over or under the top and the adults in my audience were cheering, clapping and calling/laughing out loud a lot. Kids seemed to enjoy it, too and I really, really hope this makes Disney bring back The Muppet Show. I grew up on it and loved everything about it and make my little nieces watch my DVDs.
Mutagen - My audience (and me!) did the same. Adorable cameo.
