OK i have a couple that are dear friends of mine. I went by their house tonight after the holiday and their nephew was over so it was a great time to catch up and spend time with good people. Then they suggested we go to a movie at the new theater just one town over. The movie ... Jack and Jill. I am not an Adam Sandler fan and this movie will not make me or anyone else who is not into one. I thought to myself, "Will this Sandler movie suck like the rest?" It was pretty bad. Outside of a scene involving a Pet cockatoo and a chocolate fountain and one or two funny moments with Al Pacino in a play it was as expected. What amazes me is this. Adam Sandler is actually a lot funnier, I believe, than these horrible movies he makes lately, but for whatever reason he just keeps churning them out. I know he is getting middle aged and I don't see him suddenly getting the desire to make anything better. (for the record these same friends of mine also dragged me to see Just Go With it and Grownups so I guess I got what I deserved. But Al Pacino? Why Al why? Mother did it need to be so high?

I watched a hilarious review/take down of J&J which concluded that Adam Sandler is basically a con man. The movie cost 80 million. 8.0. million for AS to stand around in a wig making terrible, lowest common dominator "jokes". It's longish, and if you can get past the swearing, here's the review.
