This poor guy. I can never entirely forget that he was Shinzon in Star Trek: Nemesis. I actually remember watching that movie (in the THEATER!!! gak) and feeling sorry for the actor who had such a thankless task - not only acting in such a terrible movie, but playing a clone/younger version of Patrick Stewart who had lots of scenes with the actual Patrick Stewart. Pretty much no actor is going to come off well in that comparison. I guess he did as well as he could, but man that movie sucked.
Anyway, there are some ugly/dirty-hot men who really do it for me, but Tom Hardy just isn't one of them. But I'm glad he rebounded from that mess.

Oh my, I had completely blanked on that being him in Nemesis! I love TNG, but that was not a good Star Trek movie. I haven't read much about Hardy: not many interviews or gossip pieces, but with Warrior and Inception I definitely have him pegged as one to watch. I will have to watch Bronson as well...

Thought he was hot as Handsome Bob in RocknRolla, but honestly don't find him as attractive now. Haven't seen him in enough to talk about the talent.

He's extremely attractive, but he annoys me ever since he backtracked on his statements of being bi. He admitted it freely, then he got some success after Inception and suddenly it was "my statement was taken out of context". Pfuckinglease. Same here. Ever since then my response to him is "whatever dude..."

Oh man, Nemesis sucked ass. I think it's a good thing that he was covered in make-up and basically unrecognizable in that role. It didn't hurt his career at all.

Yeah, Nemesis was supposed to be his big Hollywood coming out (heh!) but it didn't quite work. I had second-hand embarassment seeing him in that hideously tacky purple outfit that he wore in the movie that even Lady Gaga would say "no thanks" to. It looks like he focused on the British entertainment scene for many years after Nemesis and re-entered Hollywood with Inception. That being said, Hardy didn't badmouth the movie and was very grateful for the opportunity to work along Stewart in a big Hollywood film. I agree with the Brando comparisons but the "I've fucked guys! No, wait a minute I haven't!" thing bugged.

He was good in a pretty crappy version of "Wuthering Heights".

but the "I've fucked guys! No, wait a minute I haven't!" thing bugged. In the only quote I ever saw about he didn't say he "fucked guys" or anything of the sort. He was asked about the "fooling around at public school" thing, and he said yes it happened. That could mean anything. Just found a link for a 2010 article, which probably started the whole "he's bisexual!" thing, in which he flat out said he's never had intercourse with a man.
