Yes the fandom is quite "interesting." I stay away. I notice that BBC America is showing this. When it was on SyFy they started the new season immediately after it aired in the UK. If BBCA shows it, it might start in the US a few weeks after it starts in the UK, like what happened with "Being Human."

How is the fandom "interesting"? I admit it is very into Ho Yay, which is something that personally appeals to me not at all but other than that? The Ho YAY is very huge, which doesn't bother me. What does bother me are the nasty, racist comments that some "fans" give to Gwen and the actress who plays her. Some of them make me wonder if these folks have white sheets in their closets.

I can't say I've seen much of that. Maybe it is more prominent in the American fandom. Though I'm not sure how big it is in the States - the show is weirdly invisble in Ireland given two of the stars are Irish.

That enrages me so much. Her casting is the reason I started watching the show. Couldn't believe Gwen was multiracial. The fact that Angel is the sweetest woman is bonus. She does not deserve the hate.
