The teaser for next week's season finale practically gave away all the spoilers. WTH?!?! Do these people not watch Mad Men?!?!?

Mad Men has the best teasers! They tell you absolutely nothing!!!
Adam and Kristina have money for Cornell, her cancer treatments, her running for political office and the Snowflake Academy. They do not, however, have money to help his brother out with home repairs, which is probably the least expensive.

Aw, I kinda like the idea of a school And really, it is kinda true to life- lots of folks try start schools and don't realize all it entails. And I loved that they named it after her friend. But I am a big ole sap. I did like how Crosby and Joel snarked on Adam and Kristina about the school. I thought that was pretty funny. I'm totally guilty of calling people by their former roles. It usually begins as a joke (like Nate Braverman; a play on Peter Krauses's role from SFU) here at the house, then kinda spills over onto my social media. I am, however, totally over Ryan and Amber. I feel bad about just how much I DON'T care about that line, with him being a vet and all. But I don't care. Oddly enough, I like that Drew and that girl hooked back up.

So it's been two weeks since the season finale, althoughnimguess it was written as a possible series finale.
Amber's possible pregnancy made no sense. They had sex in the hospital with those injuries he had? Plus, yeah, you want to permanently attach yourself to that mess with a child? I'm sure his mother will be supportive/sarcasm
The moving of Zeek and Camille's lifetime of clutter was the most inefficient, half-assed mess I've ever seen. I have no issue with family doing it (that's how 95% of people I know move, no one hires movers), but egads, people, have some organization. The family has 6 adults and 6 kids (yes, Sidney, Jabbar and Victor can help) who, could pitch in. If one adult watched the babies, that leaves 11 people, plus Zeek and Camille. Yet, there's Adam and Crosby working alone (I enjoyed their brotherly tomfoolery), then Drew pitching in a bit. Women can't move furniture? Gawd.
I assume that was Adam and Kristina's place at the end, with the outdoor dinner, starting new tradition. I think that's the first time we've seen their backyard.
Zeek gave that classic car, which would be worth a LOT, to Drew? After he mopes around that he has no money and no car, and no one suggests he get a job, like a normal student on summer break. Is he going to spend the summer driving to Seattle (or wherever Needily lives) and hanging out at his mothers house? How does he pay for gas? Come on, show.
Haddie is gay, they seemed to just throw that in to try and get extra publicity or something. Not surprisingly, the family was fine with it. Although, we didn't get to see Zeek's reaction.
What else? Julia and Joel reach some sort of truce, and quelle surprise, Sarah ends up with Hank. I would like to see one more season just to see how J&J end up, and to see Z&C in their new house.

So it has been renewed for a shortened sixth and final season. There was some kerfuffle with the cast holding out, because TPTB wanted the actors to agree to appear in only nine episodes each (out of the 13) to reduce costs, and they didn't like that (egos, I guess). But an agreement was reached, "somewhere in the middle", so I guess they each get 11 episodes.
Ther are links on the TWOP thread to the news release, and the comments are amusing because some people are clearly too stupid to function. Several people wailing about "only 9 episodes?!" Even though other comments correct them that there are 13, but a proposed nine for each actor. That is followed by "I hate NBC for giving my fave show only 9 episodes!! Wah, wah!" Oy.

Mugsy! How did I miss these posts!
I'm not too sad to see this go. I love this show, but I don't think it could go much further. I'm looking forward to getting it all wrapped up next season. The Bravermans will be total pop culture reference points for me, in a way not many shows are, but I'm ready for it to end.
I hope Joel and Julia get back together, and they better not kill Zeke or anything stupid like that.

So, the first ep of it's final season aired, and Snowflake Academy is up and running. Even though it was filled with I painted walls, workers, and apparently faulty plumbing two days earlier, but Bravermans don't need inspections or 24-hour days apparently. And of course, Max has to snot that he's not going and that's that. A worker says to Kristina, "So you built your kid his own school and he isn't even going?" Ha ha ha!
Julia has a hot fling and a new job, Sarah is back big time with Hank, whose snotty teenage daughter is home to roost, Zeek has a heart attack (or not) and an enormous "downsizing" home, Victor grew about a foot over the summer, and Haddie and Amber were being all cute cousins together.
I fear this show is going to limp off into the sunset, getting mowed down by How To Get Away With Murder in the ratings. Too bad, I think it has a great cast and lots of potential.

Seriously! Victor is SO big now!
I loved that they touched on Haddie and Amber's drama over the boyfriend Amber banged. I always thought that was going to come back up. I had forgotten about Alex. I wouldn't have minded if he came back. I liked him but I think the actor has other stuff going on now, including movies? Also, Haddie looks great. Her hair was kinda unfortunate for a while.
Team Joel. Julia is a pain in the ass.

You know, I'm wondering if I can even make it through the last several episodes. There's therapeutic crying, and then there is just hysteria, and given recent life events plus RAGING PMS (tmi, sorry), I'm dreading it a little. I just want a happy ending for these folks. I kinda don't want real life, right now. But, I'll sack up! And then I move on to The Fosters.
