Janet is looking really really bad in this. Those kids really need a guardian who is stable and truly cares about them and not $$$...
This story is just unbelievable.

This thread has been moving so fast that I'm sure I missed a lot of what's been posted. Has it already been gone over that Katherine has been involved in at least 2 lawsuits with the executors of the estate since Michael's death and she's never been happy about the amount of money she was provided? This whole story seems superweird, but when you take into account that Katherine has been at odds with the executors virtually since day one, it seems a little less confusing. This article is from 2011 and goes into some detail about the mess of a will Michael Jackson left behind. This was all news to me and these two things popped out at me: I think it's possible that Katherine is not the victim that a lot of people are assuming her to be. I think it's possible that this was a scheme that she actively participated in and I suspect that Janet- the "sane" Jackson's- involvement might have been to lend the whole thing some credibility.

Well, sometimes people never move past their f'ed up childhood. Obviously Michael was proof of that, and the facade that Janet has kept up has finally slipped away big time.
True story.. my dad was an insurance investigator in the 60s and used to visit the Jacksons in good old Gary, Indiana. Joe was mean, Katherine was bitchy, the kids were wild. That could probably describe any overwhelmed, overworked, poor family in Shit Town, USA. But none of them seem to have lost those roles in all these years. I don't think Katherine has ever been the saint everyone imagines she is. But now I think she's just a sad old lady being bullied by her kids. They will all fall apart when she dies, and not least because she is their last tie to Michael's money. The kids don't appear to really give a crap about their aunts and uncles .. especially now.

Who can blame them? I should think any affection Paris *might* have had for Janet has taken a severe beating - and I doubt Prince and Blanket appreciated their sister getting slapped. I should think the Jackson clan are panicking. The kids are getting older, and will soon be old enough to take responsibility for themselves (and the older two can take responsibility for Blanket before he turns 18). Katherine's getting older and isn't going to live forever. As Margojata said, once she's gone, they've got no way to get money from Michael's estate, since it doesn't look like the kids would hand over cash. I'm glad the kids have security guards who are appointed by the estate and not hired by the Jacksons. Poor kids. I hope they'll be okay.

.
I don't blame the kids for using the media to their advantage... with their custodian missing and everyone trying to tell them what to do, they used the only power they had. And it protected them quite nicely. It's the older Jacksons that ended up looking foolish, and they managed to make their mother look incompetent, which ain't getting them any closer to the money. Now the executors are alert, the judge is alert, the kids are paranoid (and they are almost of age), and the Will has been validated nine way to Sunday... I can't think how the Jacksons will try and get their hands on the money now, with it locked down and all eyes watching. They are kind of screwed... Heh. And I lost all hope for Janet being the normal one when I saw her say she couldn't get through the day without a coffee enema. Edited to add: Katherine has agreed to let TJ become the permanent co-guardian . Methinks her lawyer is looking for a way to salvage any guardianship she has left, without the judge getting involved. Eventually this co-guardian thing will blow-up, because her kids are going to convince her that she should control the money while he takes care of the kids, and I don't see TJ or the kids allowing that to happen. See? It's actually all about the money for her. She's as trifling as the rest of them. If I was the judge I'd say Hell No, the money goes with whomever is taking care of the kids. Edited again to add : WTF Gladys Knight. Way to make yourself sound like a fucking lunatic!

I really hope this TJ guy is decent and didn't inherit the Jackson crazy genes. TJ Jackson the guy that is most famous for taking Kim K's virginity. Lol.

I think Gladys Knight comes from an era where children NEVER could talk back to an adult, any adult for ANY reason. That's why there are so many fucked up people around today.

"Get in the goddamned van!!! The security guards and TJ are fired! We are driving you to Arizona, and you WILL smile for the paps and say it's a vacation, then we'll keep you hidden and out of sight until you sign these papers giving control of the estate to the Jackson family. Do as I say! I'm the adult!" Cheez....

Fun fact: Diana Ross did not discover the Jackson Five--Gladys Knight did. She saw them perform and called them to the attention of Berry Gordy, who turned around and gave all the credit for finding them to Diana.
I have no doubt that Gladys still feels a certain amount of allegiance to the adults in the family, but she needs to join them in STFD and STFU.
