Good episode. I liked the island back story and Felicity's new involvement. Could a romance be underway for Diggs? With Felicity or his SIL? I wonder if the writers are trying to absolve Moira of her sins. Did Moira sabotage the Queen's Gambit or did she find out after the fact? One thing I've never doubted was Moira's love for her children, so I can't see her willingly endangering Oliver's life to get to Robert. |

Felicity. :-) I forgot about the SIL. I don't think Moira would endanger Oliver's life either.

Felicity reminds me so much of Chloe from SV. I even ship her with Ollie instead of Laurel.

Felicity reminds me so much of Chloe from SV. I even ship her with Ollie instead of Laurel. Me too. It also helps that they have good chemistry together. I see none between Laurel & Oliver. ETA: Emily Bett Richards (Felicity) has been upgraded to regular for S2. Yay! |

Bumping this for last night's ep.
Blah blah blah...Oliver & Diggs got girlfriends. BSG reunion. Shoot 'em up. Thea is intrigued by new guy. Laurel appeared, mercifully, for 30 seconds. Moira is trying to escape.
Now, on to the best part of the episode: Felicity. She is so well-written, it boggles the mind that Laurel isn't. She interacts so well with both Oliver & Diggs.

This episode got on my nerves. How the hell did Felicity end up with that damn thing on her neck in a room full of people when faced with a guy whose ass my wimpy self could kick? Seriously - it's Baltar! He's a wuss. And then the endless conversation with the random guy tied up on the island with the sacred native herbs. Oy. Stop chit-chatting, grab the herbs and then think about going back for the guy if you're so concerned. Blah.

Yeah, I don't know what was up with the beat up/tied up guy though I'm suspecting he'll become important later since they spent so much time on him.
Near the beginning of the episode when they were all still talking at each other in the ArrowLair I was declaring that Diggle and Felicity should get costumes, though my mom pointed out that Ollie's "costume" barely counts as one. Then my mom said that someday Felicity will take off her glasses and let down her hair and Ollie and Diggle will forget all about their other girlfriends.
Well, Lo and behold, she did just that this episode- But apparently she's still too much in that "kid sister" role for the guys to consider her in that way. And mom and I were both disappointed that she didn't take off the glasses and let down the hair in slow motion. Nope. That scene was cut in favor or more beatup/tiedup guy.... And Thea's Purse Snatcher blooming romance. Purse Snatching Guy will probably wind up with his own costume before Diggs or Felicity. Darn it!

They tried to cram too much into the episode, then cut stuff we needed to see. Like the confrontation between Baltar & Felicity. Usually the island flashback have some relevance to the present day, but I didn't get that.
They could have left off the romance angles tbqh. The only one that felt natural was Diggs/SIL because they have been hinting at that for awhile.
I don't mind if they still see Felicity as the kid sister/sidekick. They are both involved with other women at the moment, so I'm good with them building towards something with either guy.

BWAH HA HA! This show! No one must know my secret... except Diggle... and Felicity... and that female vigilante... and now Tommy... and the neighbor's cat... If he keeps this up the list of folks who know his secret will be longer than the list of names in his father's journal. I still get confused and haven't figured it all out (and that's probably the way they like it) Is Moira a good guy or a bad guy? Same goes for Merlyn.
And I called Sarah(?) Laurel's sister being alive all along way back at the beginning... I thought it would be revealed in a more interesting way though. Ummm so... yay me? I guess...
More abs please! More Diggs and Felicity sparring... and I still think they need costumes of their own dag gum it!
