From the "What Are You Watching" thread, I saw that I was not alone in the "so bad it's good" camp.
Seriously: this show is so, so stupid! And yet I can't stop watching. I think I want to see just how even more ridiculous it can get. It had so much potential at first, but they keep messing it up every step of the way. And the "best" thing is that it's going to get a second season!
I do like Hardy, Parker and Weston. But they are always outsmarted by the psychos. The FBI is a joke. And tonight they killed off Roderick, who was the most interesting villain of the bunch. And that smug douchebag Joe goes on to booze it up in his Murder Mansion; urgh.

I was honestly sad when they killed Roderick, as I was rooting for season two to be about what happens after he kills Joe and takes over the cult for himself. He was the best villian on the show and they killed him and let Jacob and Emma live?
I do like that they didn't draw out the "Sheriff is Roderick" thing like I thought they would.

I thought that last night's episode was far too late in letting the FBI "win" for once. But, at least the got Joey back and Joe is having "a really bad day" and busy saying "everyone needs to calm down" about 100 times. HA!
I wonder if he'll really kill Clare, but I agree that he should have gotten rid of Jacob at the very least. Followers have "messed up" doing far less and died in the process or were killed by Joe's hand, so Jacob losing Joey to Hardy should qualify.
This show is so all over the place, yet I continue to watch! I guess there isn't much else to watch on Monday's (now that The Closer is over - six degrees!) and the fact that I enjoy watching Kevin Bacon in almost anything.

Bacon is really good at playing charismatic, sociopathic dicks, and Purefoy was a great Mark Antony and I think he wuld have had fun with the role of Ryan. |

I quit watching. There is only so much stupid I can handle. Damnit those FBI guys are just asking to be killed. There was a serial killer on the loose and the FBI were acting like some tinpoint small town police force. When you don't care if the good guys make it, it's probably not a good thing.

I DVR it and watch when I have nothing else to watch. Roderick was one of the more interesting characters so yeah, it just got worse.

Why do you keep killing off the most interesting characters, why? Stupid show. They had better get Parker out of there, dammit.
And I think someone told Purefoy that this is a comedy. He's certainly playing it as such. I laughed my arse off when Claire stabbed him again.

As a genuine Poe fan, could the main bad guy and his stupid followers be any more ridiculous and insulting caricatures? Also, just name the boy MacGuffin and be done with it.

The real life events in Boston just highlighted how stupid this show is. I can only suspend so much disbelief. One more week, then I'm done.
