I just watched the pilot and it was pretty good. Not sure how long they can keep this going, but I'm certainly curious enough to find out.
I liked Abby the cop, and Ichabod is yummy; they have great chemistry. The Horseman is kinda like a headless Terminator, though, which is a bit silly.

I watched and liked it a lot. I'll be tuning back in. I thought that they crammed too much stuff into the pilot. They should have made it 90 minutes, or better yet, had a two-part pilot. I should have known that John Cho wouldn't be there for the entire series. Damn. But cutting Clancy Brown so soon? How could they? Outrageous!

I liked it a lot too. It definitely should have been a 2-parter or at least, 90 minutes. Abby & Ichabod have crazy chemistry. The Horseman was already creepy, but that thing that killed {Spoiler}John Cho made me jump. WTF?!

Yeah, the two leads are really good and have amazing chemistry. I like Nicole Beharie a lot so I hope this show is a big success!

I totally forgot about this. Can I catch it on hulu or somewhere else online? Yes! It's on Hulu, and I'm watching it now. ETA: Scream! I'm only halfway through and this is so gripping that I have to walk away to spread out the awesome. ETA, history version: Does anyone think anything's going to come of the sheriff? His name is August Corbin, and both of those are names found in George Washington's family, more or less: George's father was Augustine, and George had a brother John Augustine. I could have sworn Corbin was an ancestor, but there's a Corbin nephew, definitely. Anyway, not to ramble, but this almost definitely Means Something more than a shout out for history nerds, and I'm excited to see where it goes.

Ooh, interesting, chonies. Bet he is an ancestor, hence his interest in Abbie and all the goings on in Sleepy Hollow.
Was surprised to see Orlando Jones in this. Thankfully, he seems to have gotten his bulging eye schtick under control. I also wonder if he's a member of a coven.

I enjoyed the premiere, but I wish they had made Ichabod resemble the character he's originally based on, at least a little (timid, awkward schoolteacher who eats a lot). But I guess they figured it was safer to go with sex appeal. I like that he ended up marrying Katrina in this version though, and that she was a witch. I'm interested to find out more about their story. I like Abby and want to find out more about her and her sister, too.

I enjoyed it too. The Following should take note. This is how you do a show with an incredibly stupid premise that doesn't completely insult the viewer's intelligence. Nicole Beharie is great although there were a few shots where she looked really young. Like she was playing dress up as a cop. And I really liked the actor playing Ichabod. He has some good comedic skills. They were obvious jokes but I liked the Starbucks conversation. I was happy to see both Clancy Brown and John Cho in the credits. Pretty annoyed that neither made it through the episode.

I agree! The Starbucks jokes were both obvious and clever, but the little details, like where he blinded himself with the flashlight, really made it for me. I also liked that he and the horseman looked grimy, as their stories indicated they should. I thought the dialogue was snappy without being annoying, too.
I also just found out that Clancy Brown is Mr Krabs from SpongeBob. Holy radioactive mutants.
