God. Seriously. She’s all “I’m a feminist!” but sure spends a lot of time talking about how she’s doing it “right” and all those other ladies are just playing right into the problem by dieting and exercising.

I think Amber Tamblyn nailed it when she tweeted “Purity is antithetical to feminism. Insistence that women’s decisions, voices & actions be immaculate is patriarchal narrative.”

I mean...exactly. Blossom is basically saying nothing bad like that happens to her because she is “good” and dresses modestly and does nothing to tempt men. And says she does that because she’s a feminist. That attitude is the exact opposite. It’s fine if you want to dress modestly and don’t give a crap about having the perfect figure, but don’t pat yourself on the back for it and don’t look down your nose at other women who don’t and just shrug, “Well, they just played into it” when something terrible happens to them.
