I'm not shocked at all. I've actually always gotten a bit of a weird vibe from them that I can't explain. Yep, I'm not surprised either. This tends to happen when one half of a celeb couple quickly becomes more famous than the other. |

I actually am shocked. (for as much as I despise him for his treatment of animals) He seemed to adore her, and their son seemed to be his everything. Maybe she initiated the split?

Enty also had a blind item about him beating her up. It's Enty so therefore likely bullshit, however it sticks in my head since many of us sense there is something off about him.
I thought it was odd when Anna admitted she got very upset when there was a tabloid story about Chris having an affair with Jennifer Lawrence on the set of Passengers. It was a story that was so predictable and dumb and nobody believed it for a second. It seems like that would be an easy story to laugh off, and yet it sounds like she got so insecure about it.

I'm bummed about this. I like them both and I think for the most part they've done a decent job of being a "Hollywood" couple but who knows what goes on in marriages? I don't listen to her podcast but she appears on the Crabfeast podcast at least once a year or so and seems pretty normal. His success was pretty out-of-the-blue though and who knows how that affects people around them too.

Yeah, put me in the "sad" camp. He's a weirdo but he did seem dedicated, to their son especially. (Not that the divorce means otherwise, just that they seemed to have a chance of sticking it out.)

It seems obvious to me that it's really, really difficult to stay married if you never see each other. Chris has been filming or promoting movies back to back to back, and she has her TV show so she's stuck in LA most of the year.
Wondering about that blind, too. Maybe this is a last resort? The statement was very clear about saying it's a legal separation, not a divorce.
