We had two cats when I got pregnant with my son, and when I had him we still had two cats. They were both MAD at us for bringing a baby home, and they peed and pooped in the beds in the house afterwards. It only happened once, and we managed to get through it without throwing our cats away. Topic? His weird Jesus-y rants at the MTV Awards really got under my skin. Yep, weird and Jesus-y is a good way to describe it. He is about as far removed from his Parks and Rec character as he can get in that clip. He created poop particles and let everyone know he's an asshole with that speech. Trust me, it's science. Soooo weird. His former co-star didn’t seem to like him much, either, in that clip.

I have no problem with re homing or frankly euthanizing an older animal. However, I would never put an ad up at a shelter, nor would I try to vet a potential owner myself. There are shelters that do that, and I would think especially if you're a celebrity you could arrange a humane and less stressful way to re home your pet. When we adopted our kittens, the shelter did a home visit first to make sure we were suitable for adoption.
I've already spent more time talking about Chris Pratt in the last few days than I have in the last few years!

I've had to rehome a pet before. In my family's case we truly could not provide the socialization and attention he needed; it would have been crueler to keep him. So I don't judge if someone has reached that point and truly does their best to find their pet a better home. But with that said, in Pratt's case, the flippant way it was done on Twitter was not a good look. And I don't know what the excuse is for the dog that was found abandoned.

There are various rumors and blind items that do make Hillsong sound like a cult I knew someone who worked at the church-affiliated coffee shop near the original headquarters. You know that meme with the woman that wants to speak to the manager? Imagine 100 of them coming in all at once right after services. The way it was described was as a grown-up version of Children of the Corn.

Apropos of nothing in particular, Mr. d commented yesterday about Chris Pratt and "that weird church he goes to".
Let me tell you: when Mr. d is aware of your cray to the degree that he was yesterday, said cray has gone viral and mainstream.

I had not seen a picture of Katherine -- man, those Kennedy genes are strong.

Maybe that was part of his issue with Anna Ferris? They both started children later in life and had complications, so he goes for the younger model and tries again. According to Lainey, Anna wanted more kids and Chris is the one who said no because it would have been an attempt to fix their/her problems with a baby. Lainey is just one source and she has her story, but I believe I have read elsewhere that Anna really wanted a more conventional family life - more kids and a husband who was at home more instead of traveling/working all the time. Lo and behold, that's what Chris wants, just with his new wife! It may have been a case of bad timing with Anna and Chris. His career was taking off and he was traveling around the world seizing opportunities right at the time that the window was closing for Anna to have more kids. And also right at the time that Anna's career was having a resurgence, which kept her busy in LA full time.

I’m normally not overly cynical about celebrities, because, well, why waste my time? But I kinda feel that way about him. He seems like a total jerk and hiding behind his extra special brand of faith. I actively dislike him.
