I never thought that Lake Stevens was a homophobic, racist, small town. I guess I should say that nothing really stood out to give it that sort of name. And it isn't REALLY that small. It's part of the largest populated county just north of Seattle. But I don't doubt that he has some skeletons in his closet for who he really was with the people he hung out with. Mr. Spin did not have any involvement with Chris's social circles by any means, but he knew him to be the trickster clown that he clearly is. I wanted to meet him at the 20 year reunion (if he even went), but Mr. Spin was not having any of it. He hated high school, so I wouldn't force him to go.

That being said, Pratt could use a little dose of reality and humility. I mean, that's what his whole faith is supposed to be about, right? If he gets exposed for some shit, he should take it as a lesson and learn from it. I think he has the ability to be a good guy, he just needs to stop getting ahead of himself. He's done a lot of charity work for so many (underprivileged, children with disabilities, children's hospitals), but it doesn't mean squat if you're an asshole on the inside.

My son just bought a house in Lake Stevens and will be moving there from Everett. He and his family will be crushed if it turns out they’re in a MAGA pocket. Lake Stevens does sort of blend into the rural parts to the east where I might expect some unacceptable attitudes but my son will be closer to Marysville, to the west. Ugh. We shall see.

I used to really like Chris Pratt. Sigh. I will happily take Chris O’Dowd.

I personally don't think Lake Stevens is any different from Everett. You're going to get racism from anywhere in the world, but with it being a totally city-wide way of life there? No, I don't think so. I mean, Marysville is rural in a lot of respects, too. *shrug* Washington in general has a very white population with a lot of Asian-American residents, too. Not to mention the Native Americans that are indigenous to the region. I spent a considerable about of time living there after spending over 15 years in Southern California and now spending over 15 years back in Southern California. But if he's more inland than living deep into the LK Stevens area? I don't think he's going to see change from where he was living before, IMO.

I agree. I grew up in Seattle and live in south SnoCo now and there doesn’t seem to be a big difference in attitude. As you say, racists etc. are everywhere but they are outnumbered here, I’m confident. Lots of SnoCo is reliably blue so I think he’ll be fine. I just don’t want my grandkids in MAGA land but I don’t think they will be. I know their parents will look out for them too.

Fuck, marry, kill: Marvel's Chris Edition

Killing Pratt is a no-brainer, but I am struggling with the other parts of the equation. I know I'm putting too much thought into this ludicrous proposition, but I feel like I would marry Chris Evans, and bang Hemsworth, just because I wouldn't Miley Cyrus as an in-law, and my politics align more with Evans. But if we're going by characters, I'd still kill Star Lord (he's more responsible for the decimation than Thor IMO), bang Cap (I mean really, look at the body and that ass!), and marry Thor. Thor is funny, in touch with his feelings, and OMG--that body! Even if he has put on a few pounds lately. I feel like Cap is too much of a Boy Scott, and wouldn't be any fun. There'd be plenty of drunken revelry with Thor, and nights in just playing video games and eating too many carbs.

And yes, I know I sound like a huge loser and nerd putting any thought into this.
