I feel like the entertainment media has already crowned her the next big starlet. ScarJo, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, sort of the shortlist of 5-10 years ago, are all in their mid- to late 30s, so not old, but getting up there by Hollywood standards. Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson are both going to be 30 this year. And when I think of heavy-hitting actresses in their 20s, all I can come up with is Saoirse Ronan, and even she isn't a massive household name. Maybe Sophie Turner as well? But with Millie, the media really seems to want to crown her the next Natalie, and it seems a bit premature.
I too hope she gets to be a teenager when the cameras are off. She's dressing awfully maturely for a 15 year old. And oddly she seems to have a makeup line in Ulta that's meant for teens? Where did that come from?

I'm not that familiar with her and she seems nice and talented. But why is her team dressing her as if she's 55 when she's 15?

And oddly she seems to have a makeup line in Ulta that's meant for teens? I believe that's the makeup line that got her in trouble when she filmed a youtube tutorial pretending to wash her face, and clearly wasn't. I don't watch Stranger Things, so I'm not all that familiar with her, but I have long been uncomfortable about the type of celebrity she's being marketed as when she's very young. |

I assume the basic idea for this came from Kylie Jenner (who has a make-up line that I think has been immensely successful), but the fact that anyone involved in managing Millie's career is looking to Kylie for ideas is DEEPLY not-reassuring. And considering the extremely pervasive rumors of her parents being really showbiz-y...I think she's talented but I see some Lohan-ness in her future. |
