Game of Thrones expected? It's won for the its last three seasons (it wasn't eligible last year), so yeah it was a pretty safe bet. The Emmys love to hand out awards to the same show repeatedly. |

I'm so thrilled Matthew Rhys finally got Emmy recognition. I am bummed Keri didn't get the same, but knowing that she told MR before he went on stage "If you propose to me, I'll punch you in the mouth" makes up for it slightly. She is my spirit animal.

I’m now going back and catching up on the beginning, which I missed. What sort of virginal blood is Angela Bassett bathing in? She just turned 60 and she looks amazing.
The GoT wins were disappointing to me. I love the show, but this last season was pretty weak and Dinklage didn’t have a whole lot to do.
I actually love The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, and I’m not a big AS-P fan (couldn’t stand Gilmore Girls). Rachel Brosnahan has to do stand-up in addition to playing her character, which I think is really hard. Also, Tony Shalhoub plays her dad and I always love Tony Shalhoub.
Side note - if Prince were still alive, I don’t think he’d be down with his music in Capital One commercials.

I'm so psyched that Henry Winkler AND Bill Hader won. I think Henry was the favorite but I was not expecting Bill to win, and I may or may not have applauded the TV when he did.
Otherwise, I'm pretty meh on the winners and the show as a whole. I don't watch any of the dramas nor do I watch Mrs. Maisel, so I did a lot of fast-forwarding. The proposal thing was cute if only for Leslie Jones' reaction when it happened. There should be a TV show of her and Chrissy Teigen just reacting to things. I'd watch the hell out of that.
