Kat's stupidity will end in tragedy. I really hope she's using condoms. She has a perfectly nice boy digging on her, and she can't see it.

Her insecurity got the better of her. She saw him talking to a thin blonde and reacted in a bad way, trying to find validation through sex instead of communicating with her crush.

There were actually things I liked about this episode. Maddy's OTT dramatics and trying to shoehorn real life into a movie narrative felt very real for teens with limited processing skills (I also just watched "I Love You, Now Die" which touched on this big time). Jules feeling the burden of Rue's sobriety, Cal wanting to emotionally unburden to a random twink hookup, and Kat thinking that walking away before she's rejected is control/empowerment hit a nerve. Or maybe I'm just old and losing my cynical edge.

The little kid drug dealer/bitcoin investor/tattoo artist cracks me up. I guess I'm supposed to be horrified that a little kid is doing all this stuff, but he just makes me laugh. "I been doing this for years."

The show has toned it down a bit since the first episode, and the kids seem slightly more realistic than the cartoons they were portrayed as in episode 1.

I was confused for a second last night. Did Nate and his dad recognize each other (in their trucks) when they were entering/exiting the motel? It seemed like dad veered off when he saw Nate pulling in.

Jules and Rue is going to end soon, and it's going to be bad. Like major overdose bad. So much so that I wonder will Season 2 be narrated by Rue's ghost. I wonder will that set Jules off into a guilt spiral and send her back into the clutches of Nate and/or his dad.

I don't see a good end for Kat's character. She was using real names when chatting with her micropenis slave. I wouldn't be surprised if he is able to track her down. And I'm still alarmed at the fact that she is randomly hooking up with guys without seemingly using condoms. I could see her ending up HIV positive by the end of the season.

I love Fezco's little brother (is that his brother?) and Fezco in general. I missed Fez this episode. I hope he's back soon.

Theories are coming out now that this season is full Sunset Boulevard for Rue because of how much she knows about other characters and in episode 1 when she kept telling us she was an unreliable narrator. People are trying to confirm by looking up details of the original Israeli series but it's been well scrubbed online so...

It does calm down a bit after the first ep. The first one seemed to want to be shocking for shocking sake. By episode 4 they are almost recognizably human, but you have to wade a mile to get there.

So the finale happened tonight, and I finally felt something for Nate, other than burning hatred. He still needs to be locked away in prison for an extremely long time. Shout out to the actor though. I had no idea he was Australian. His accent is immaculate.

. When the show became a music video I was dumbstruck. The finale had too many dangling plotlines. I'm sure they're getting a second season, but couldn't they resolve anything this season? I guess Kat kinda got an arc, but it was kinda out of nowhere. Was this spurred by Maddy calling her out last week, or the creep on the internet that made her strip? Has she seriously not had any contact or conversation with Ethan since the Halloween party? Would he really be hanging around waiting for her to get her shit together? If they are a thing next season, I'm sure her brief trek onto the wild side will come back to haunt them. Also, Nate and his dad still haven't realized that Jules's DVD is missing? And leaving it hanging with Fez and Mouse like that? Ugh. I can't believe I allowed them to suck me in like that.
