Kate’s battle with bulimia. Kate 90 pounds and pregnant. The Queen humiliates KateKate’s family cashing inKate’s pink coat at 9/11 memorial causes scandalKate’s phone hacked 155 times. Kate being harassed by paparazzi 1“Happy birthday, Kate.” Kate’s been Kaiser’s royal punching bag for years. I was looking back at some of her first posts about Kate back in the early 00s and she never gave her a break. It’s sad, infuriating and baffling to hear Kaiser cry of bullying of Meghan when she’s been doing it to Kate for years, 10+ YEARS. Just look at that one page that I linked. The stories accuse Kate of trapping William into marriage by getting “knocked up,” cheating with his best friend, being smug, trying to piss off the royal family, being a doormat, etc. the comments below are just a vicious. And the commentary reflects what was going on in the tabloid press, stories about her “middle class” family, her lack of career, her social climbing, her weight, her jealousy and the list goes on. All of Kaiser’s posts have a news story they’re based on. Kate is now a wife and mother with seven years of marriage into the firm under her belt and the focus of press coverage has shifted because of Meghan. But this narrative that Kate’s somehow had it easy, and that viral Buzzfeed article comparing headlines, really misrepresents what Kate went through, and once again, pits two women against each other.

I am shocked--shocked, I say!!--to learn that pitting women against each other is anything other than a zero sum game in which there are no winners. Shocked!!!!
(I am not saying that racism has never played in a role in the coverage Meghan receives or that it isn't playing a role right now, but I am saying that Kate and Meghan are very, very differently situated and that even if Meghan were saltine-level white the coverage would not be identical.)

Yeah, now that Meghan can be a punching bag, it works out better to set Kate up as practically perfect in comparison. The press certainly spent a lot of time slamming Kate over the years for not being "well born". It makes me wonder what'll happen once Meghan's out. Will they turn on Kate again?

Meghan will not be out of the public eye, so they won't have to stop whatever coverage they want to do. I bet they continue (start?) to call her Duchess or Princess or something even if she drops the title, just because they're dicks.

William and Catherine’s first engagements of 2020. Kate’s green coat is McQueen and her dress is from Zara. I love the color of the coat but the front pocket flaps need to go.

So do they wear clothes more than once? I'm thinking mostly of the women, since their fashion choices are more obvious. Kate has so many beautiful cloth coats, but do we see them more than once? Or the dresses? Or the Queen's many suits with matching hats? What happens to them?

Or the dresses? Or the Queen's many suits with matching hats? They do recycle outfits. Websites like What Kate Wore and Go Fug Yourself will mention it when coats/dresses are repeated. I imagine a lot of these things are also re-worn when there aren't a bunch of photographers around.

I'm guessing that the Queen's outfits are catalogued and put in a vault for exhibition some day. I'd love to be the one to archive all of Kate's clothes, what a dream.
I don't like today's outfit, I need her to get out of the pussy bow phase.

Also, after wearing them once or twice, they often would go to posh resale shops in London if they weren't favorites. Diana's dresses used to end up there (not the big splashy ones she sold in the sales later, obviously). I read the Queen did that too. Which is kind of awesome.
