Trump is going after Taylor on his Truth Social account.

I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will. There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!

To offer an another viewpoint- I’m not entirely sure what Taylor is supposed to do. She is endlessly scrutinized and criticized, and media outlets know that mentioning her will increase clicks, so they keep doing it. I don’t put that on her. She acted no differently than any other football star girlfriend and has no control over the NFL and broadcasts focusing on her.

I’m not discounting people’s opinion here, everyone has their own perception. I do think the “she only writes dis songs about her exes” is a stale narrative that is easily disproven, by simply even looking at her tour set list. Hell, she’s written entire albums now that were not about boyfriends and one of my favorite songs is one she wrote about her grandma. Dislike her music, okay, or her persona, fine, or her exposure, I guess. I’m not going to use the misogyny gotcha.

But I am also not going to try to diminish her incredible accomplishments. She’s the biggest star in the world, let her be that.

It does make me sad when you see Taylor listening with her BFF Blake Lively to America the Beautiful that the camera cuts to them and the audience boos. So ridiculous. There are endless celebs that attend sporting events and the big ones like the Super Bowl and it's totally fine. *shrug* Gotta love when politics comes into play against single women who have made their earnings themselves.

Maybe not all of her career, but I don't follow her that closely and even I know that she puts tons of little Easter eggs in her songs for her stans to hyperanalyze. Even if a song isn't explicitly about an ex, she's constantly teasing references that might be. It's always a game of is this about (insert ex boyfriend here) or isn't it. She does it on purpose and her fans eat it up. Joe Alwyn, Taylor Lautner, and John Mayer have all been harassed by her fans. Someone literally burned John Mayer in effigy at one of her concerts. That's unhinged.

Now, obviously she's not directly responsible for that, people are crazy, but she eggs them on and profits along the way. She's not much different from Trump in that regard -- on a much less consequential level of course, but the idea is the same. She knows what she's doing, and writing a sweet song about your grandmother doesn't negate that.

Edited to add: by the way I do know that John Mayer certainly has his own shortcomings. To use Reddit parlance, ESH. (Everyone sucks here.) That doesn't mean he deserves harassment and death threats though.

I guess I can't be too surprised when the relationship has been so public and they're both famous. As well as her private life has always been dissected because of her songs. I think the only reason it hasn't been completely "will Taylor get her ring this time?" for over a decade is because so many people think she dates specifically to have break up song material.

It is gross that it's always from the POV that the woman is desperate to "get her ring" and have babies etc even though I think if that was a priority of hers then she probably would have done it already and almost never said about men even if they give interviews saying they'd like to settle down. I'm not American so I don't know too much about Kelce but I can't say I've been particularly impressed by what I have seen of him (mostly by osmosis).
