Ha! Boy George spends almost all his time ranting and raving about George Michael and bad gay stereotypes, and now this: male hustlers and drugs.
The ironing is delicious. ;D

I miss Culture Club, their music and style. Love their Behind the Music. I remember watching all of CC's videos back-to-back one day when MTV actually aired videos. Good times. My favorite CC songs are Church of the Poison Mind and Miss Me Blind.
That picture of George with the spiky paint thing on his head and the red blotches on his face is nightmarish.

The ironing is delicious. ;D I hadn't thought about that aspect - but you are so on target. (But I still love George.) That picture of George with the spiky paint thing on his head and the red blotches on his face is nightmarish. Agreed, he looks like the crazy clown that comes to kill you in a Clive Barker short story.

Heh, pachouli, I particularly like this tidbit, what I call good gossip: Creepers -- with groupies like that, who needs enemies. No wonder he fled the country. I ain't mad at him either.

With 13 bags of coke, wouldn't he be eligible to be charged with possession with intent to sell, which carries an even tougher penalty?
15 years really is getting off lightly with the drug laws the way they are. If he was out on the corner and got caught with that, his goose would be cooked.

I just saw on Best Week Ever that Boy George was wearing a Misfits T-shirt when he got arrested. The Misfits!!!!! That's just awesome.

When stuff like this happens with celebs like him and Kate Moss, you get a real glimpse as to what passes as a "normal" day in the existence of the exalted ones. And it's juicy! Mere mortals like us can only dream of having a Japanese groupie or two nonchalantly lounging about the house.
Google, I didn't get a chance to catch it - though I would have it had a decent run - we only get to New York once a year. But is that make-up he wears in recent interviews a variation of the Leigh Bowery role he played when the show started in the West End? Otherwise, I can't think why he'd go around in it - if not to advertise the show.

And Boy George gets off with a stint in rehab and some community service. Comparatively light, considering his heroin bust in the 80s got him banned from the U.S. for a few years. I am really disappointed, though, that the whole story about the prostitute never came out. And I can’t believe how rough he looks.

They did sort of dance around the prostitute thing it seems. There must not have been much substance to it. By that I mean it must have pretty obvious it was his stuff and not the man-ho's:
Jeez, what has become of the 80s gay icons!!! George Michael found all bloated and asleep at the wheel a couple weeks ago, and looking like one of those old Greek grandfatherly types that run the local diner or corner grocery. It's curious why these men that were so into their looks and quite gorgeous become all bloated like that. I know that Elton John was more of a 70s guy, and of course has his career more together, but his looks have gone the same route. And he was in financial trouble too until the Las Vegas deal made him loads. And even though I still adore my Tim Curry, his looks have gone the same bloated route, and I have never heard of him using drugs. I know that beauty doesn't last forever but these guys aren't even trying to keep it together. Which would be fine if they weren't people for whom looks and being fabulous didn't mean everything to them. It seems like they all exhibit some pathology beyond the effects of aging. I miss my Freddie Mercury and wish he was still around, but at least we never had to seem him get all fat and bloated, because it would be a sad thing to see if he had gone the same route.

The 80's were all about decadence. I guess people like Boy George and George Micheal still have that mindset, and stuff cocaine and rent boys into every available orifice. Good on them, but yes, it's taken it's toll. Having said that, I have a soft spot for Boy George. I remember a good friend of mine who was obsessed with him. He tried to convince my sister, who was 8 at the time, to dress up as Boy George and sing Karma Chameleon at a party his parents threw. I should of known then that he was gay. (Er, my friend that is, not Boy George. Because the lipstick and smokey eye gave him away)
