I hate double-posting; however, as of today, Boy George a NYC Garbage Man

It took less than an hour for the former Culture Club frontman to get into a spat with the media.

"You think you're better than me?" he yelled. "Go home. Let me do my community service."

Still a fashionista I see.

B-George reported for duty to the Lower East Side sanitation depot at 7 a.m. this morning "wearing dark capri pants, shoes without socks, a sweatshirt, and without the wild makeup that made him so recognizable."

And really, is a whole bank of photographers required? I don't blame him for snapping at them a bit.

^ I agree. Talk about salivating wolves. The man is probably embarrassed and ashamed and there is the paparazzi to document it. Don't get me wrong when someone does something wrong they should be punished, but the cameras and all...I feel bad for him.

He is a drug addict. Why villify him? Especially when he is given so much joy to many of us through his music in the 80's. I remember he was one of the first pop stars I used to really love. I used to instruct my mother to call me whenever he was on tv and when she called I would run to hear what Boy George had to say.

I was always intrigued by his wit and intelligence. I was a young girl in the 80's so talk of homosexuality was new and shocking to me. I was always amazed and delighted when Boy would say that his having sex with men was like "eating a bag of chips". In other words, it was neither here nor there. I loved him for his audaciousness and guts to say that at that time, when it really wasn't hip to talk about homosexuality in the media.

I am not interested in turning on the popstars that used to make me happy, no matter how sappy that sounds. I really hope he gets his act together and gets some help.
