I don't know if this belongs in this thread but I am disappointed to see Chrissy Teigen partnering up with Kris for this dumb home cleaning line. I really liked Chrissy and John and had so much goodwill for her, especially for her taking on Trumplicans on social media and bringing so much personal awareness to miscarriage. But hooking up with Kris is just gross IMHO. And the press materials are all about how Kris is Marie Kondo x 1000 and how poor Khloe inherited Kris's cleaning genes and is always running around the house scrubbing something. Riiiiight.

Chrissy is very good friends with all the Kardashians. Chrissy is friends with everyone. She doesn't do it as much anymore, but she loves Kris Jenner. She used to post about her all the time on Twitter. I always thought their friendship was more of the superficial kind where they know each other, they're nice to each other, they send each other gifts for birthdays and Christmas, but I never actually thought they were "real friends." But here we are. The Kardashians are not going away. I did think it was odd though that they decided on going into business for cleaning supplies. Chrissy going into business regarding cooking, cookware, etc... Made sense. But cleaning? Does Chrissy Teigen and the Kardashians clean their own bathrooms? I did a literal eyeroll when I saw Chrissy's post about their joint venture.

It is kind of weird. Lainey put up an article about it today.

I recently learned that cleaning Instagram was a thing (was it here?) and started following a cleaning influencer. She's a full-time professional house cleaner. She is clearly on the Scrub Daddy payroll because she promotes their products in probably 50% of her posts. But in the other half she actually gives some good information about her favorite products, good cleaning techniques (never clean your mirrors with the lights on!), and places people never think to clean that get truly disgusting. I can see Chrissy and Kris knowing stuff about top-level cleaning but I don't see them giving tips like how to easily pop your toilet seat off and clean years of dust, pee, and poo spray from beneath the latches. This influencer gives good advice because this is what she does all day, every day. Cleaning products aren't everything; technique means a lot too. And Chrissy (whom I like) and Kris (who I loathe) don't seem like they've put in some elbow grease around the house in many a year.

OMG I was thinking the exact same thing! I almost posted to her that if she was selling it all on her own I’d totally consider buying but when I found out she’s partnering with Kris Jenner on it...hard no. ETA Chrissy Tiegen just tweeted she’s leaving Twitter. I blame the Kardashians.

Not to get over armchair analysis-y, but to me her overall social media presence has seemed really different since she lost her son (incredibly understandable, of course). It seems to me that her responses to mean tweets/instagram comments went from "let me make a joke about this because that's how much this matters to me" to genuine hurt and lashing out. Sooo basically I think maybe a 'forced' exit from twitter is not the worst thing right now even if it didn't happen in the ideal way.

I follow her on ig, but she’s more annoying on Twitter and her whole “you guys love to hate me” is really teeth grinding. Like she feeds off the hate to feel sorry for herself.

Maybe a gig shilling cleaning products is all the Kardashians could get?

In this case Chrissy & Kris own the company so it’s not just a paid endorsement. I can see how people think it’s off brand for both to be pushing cleaning products that neither will actually use.....
