Yeah. Are these stories (teeth getting kicked out, can't drive, no Bond girl until shooting had begin, etc...) being put out there by anti-Craig fans to make him look like a wussy who will never be able to play Bond or is it something more sinister - the production company setting him up for a fall. If the film fails, they can blame the fact that Daniel was not exactly prime Bond material in the first place.

I don't see him as Bond in the conventional sense, but I think he has charisma and talent. I don't think he is sexy enough to be Bond, but he has a very masculine allure that will totally change the franchise - and that is what TPTB are claiming they want. He could work very well in the role, but I don't think he will be as successful as Pierce in terms of box-office and I think that will hurt his chances to really turn this into a long-term role.

I still don't get the crazy Bond fans. Who did they want to play Bond? Why does it matter that he can't drive a stick? I doubt that Pierce could drive that stupid remote-controlled car in whatever Bond film that was!

I can't get past the ugly. I remember seeing him the first time in Lara Croft(yeah, yeah I got dragged by my friend who adores Angelina. I was so tired that night I slept thru halfway thru the movie. What a piece of shit!) and I thought - geez, what an ugly guy. Couldn't they have gotten somebody else for the part? I saw him again in Road to Perdition and my opinion still holds.

And apparently he is a piece of shit in real life too. He took up with Kate Moss for months and did not even tell his current girlfriend who learned about it in the papers.

At first when I heard he was cast as Bond I didn't agreed with their choice (I wanted Douglray Scott or somebody else who is more charming and likeable than Craig whom I found to be cold. But after all the fan protests and alll the bad press I'm starting to feel sorry for him. So now I am rooting for him and hope he makes a good Bond.
