John Amos actually died 45 days ago. His daughter said she found out through the media at the same as the rest of the world. Sounds messy, but how horrible to find out that way.

This is one obituary I read with pleasure. Pete Rose was an unadulterated piece of shit, and I’m not even talking about the betting against his own team. Years ago, a friend of mine was on the field at Busch Stadium here in St. Louis before a Cardinals game—I don’t recall whether StL was playing the Reds or the Phillies—as part of her duties during a college internship with a local radio station. Rose spotted her and yelled at someone to “get that xxxx off the field.” And then, of course, there’s his predilection for little girls: A friend of his told an MLB attorney during the gambling case that he’d arranged for Rose to get with girls as young as 12 during spring training, but a judge ended up dismissing the defamation case during which the allegations came to light and no charges were ever filed against Rose or the friend. Apparently my friend was way too old for ol’ Pete when they had their run-in. 🙄 |

Oh Sweet, Cissy... She was so gutted when Whitney and Bobbi Kristina died...she just wanted to go home to Heaven to be with them. Godspeed, Cissy. It must’ve been wrenching to see her daughter and granddaughter die before her, but I also think Cissy and her homophobia played a big part in Whitney’s emotional problems and substance abuse, which in turn affected poor Bobbi Kristina. |
