But I hadn't changed it at all! It was on PST (which is my local time) until I just changed it 10 minutes ago. So it was on PST when it was an hour behind the ACTUAL PST. It's now set to mountain time, which is an hour ahead of PST but apparently accurate for the board.
The board must have adjusted itself somehow, because before daylight savings time ended, it would have been 10:00 currently. The clocks went back, so it's really 9:00 currently. But without my doing anything, the board said it was 8:00 currently. That is confusing, because I didn't do anything and that wouldn't be right for daylight savings time OR non-daylight savings time. But I guess it doesn't really matter as long as it's accurate now... on mountain time.
ETA: Now it seems to have switched back to the right time, so I will change it back to PST. Weird.
Except that this post is now dated 8 a.m., when I made it at 9 a.m.... so I have no idea. Screw it! Everything else is fine and that's all that matters.

Did you guys do a purge or something? I registered originally as Eleanora when the FT boards shut down in March of 05, only ever posted a couple of comments here and there, voted in the polls. But when I went to log on yesterday, it kept saying I didn't exist! Finally thought of something to say and now am sad 'cause I don't remember what it was.
Anyway, had to re-register b/c I couldn't post to ask the question. Am not really whining, things happen, just wondering--Is there any way mods could post an email address for questions from non-members (or purged members) or enable anon commenting on just one thread?

We recently did a purge of accounts that hadn't been used in a while. It's the Greecie "Use It or Lose It" philosophy. Saves space. Sorry about losing your posts, eleanora. Become a "regular", post a bit with us, and keep your account current. That will ensure it stays around.

We seem to have quite a few writers on the board. Maybe we could start a thread to share our work? Writers always need input.

The only problem I'd have with that is people posting huge chunks of text. But I'm fine with a Writer's Workshop board, if people can link to their writings in other spots.

That was I was thinking. We have a lot of good people. If we organized it the right way, it think it could be really helpful.

So I tried to paste in the URL for a pic to use as my avatar...did it not work because the site is another forum that requires membership and passwords and such? Or did I find another way to balls it up? Also, how do you enter the size of your avatar...inches, pixels, kilograms?

Duke - try TinyPic[/color]. Browse from your selection of pictures and upload. Use the LAST link they offer after it uploads, where it says "URL Link for email and instant messenger". Cut and paste into your profile page in "Avatar URL". You can adjust the height and width where it says "Avatar height" and "Avatar width". The most I've gotten it to accommodate is 100 x 100. Have fun!!

Thanks, Brookie. I already have a PhotoBucket album so I went to upload the pic I want for my avatar but then I couldn't find the dang thing. So I used something else that doesn't do a very good job of showing the Mickey Mouse "tattoo" on my face. Oh, well.
ETA: OK, found it.

Has a thread for 'The Biggest Loser' been banned? I don't see it and I find that strange... Hmmm.
