We have an "Introductions" thread do we have a "Whatever Happened To" thread about former Greecies?
People come and go and sometimes one worries about them.

We considered that a while back but thought it might be intrusive. People come and go all the time from forums like ours for a variety of reasons, and we wouldn't want to pry or make anyone feel their privacy is invaded by inquiring after them publicly in a thread like that.
Hope that makes sense.

Is there a general sport news or events thread?
Somewhere for news around sports without a thread of its own or kind of miscellaneous but sport related that doesn’t need or have its own thread.

Or maybe just have Professional Sports Figures as Proffesional Sports Figures/Events

No, we don't have a thread like that. Typically, conversations center on a particular sport or event, so we encourage those convos in their corresponding thread.
What kind of general subject did you have in mind?

I put the news that a spectator brought down over 20 riders in the The Tour de France in to Professional Sports Figures* thread but it wasn’t news about a pro individual or team just news involving cycling,
I guess a sort of miscellaneous sports news thread, one where the sport or incident doesn’t have a thread to fit into or a need to as it may be a one off piece of news.
*which is why I wondered if just renaming /edit title of the thread to Professional Sports Figures, News and Events would do.
