She spent nearly a page out of three pages of text whining about being recognized and the price of fame. I'm on this board and I wouldn't recognize her on the street. I really don't buy that she gets hasseled in Kailua. If she were to go to dinner in Waikiki maybe, because a lot of tourists in Hawaii are on the lookout for Lost cast members. But Kailua is just a normal town. And she really doesn't have to leave the state to go to an island and not be recognized. She could probably just hop over to Molokai and nobody would give a shit who she is.

When I see the "Celebrity Dumb Quotes" thread at the top of the section list, I immediately think, "What has that woman said now???" When I see her own thread at the top of the page, ditto. I've completely stopped thinking there could be *ANYTHING* newsworthy about this woman because she's been reduced down to the sum of her ridiculous quotes. In fact, I'm ashamed to say, I sometimes forget the "Celebrity Dumb Quotes" thread isn't the Evangeline Lilly thread.....

I feel almost the same horror as I did all through the Altman movie discussion when having to hear Meryl's name combined with that Bimbo PopTart Extraordinaire. Topic: Did she discuss any marriage plans in the article? I have to say, I find her and that chap to be an unlikely couple. I would have expected her to hold out for someone as "celebrated" as herself in the "looks" department.

It almost gives me some hope for her character. Then I think of the many "gorgeous" women who want a less attractive man, just so they can be the Alpha and the focal point in a relationship. And yeah, I can see her as someone so painfully insecure that she happily be Christie Brinkley to whatshisface's gnome.

The way she talks, you'd think she was Julia Roberts or Reese Witherspoon-somebody really, really famous who would get recognized everywhere. But all she is is a semi-famous actress who is part of an ensemble cast on a t.v. show which seems to already be losing steam. (I don't hear near as much about "Lost" as I used to.) I cannot believe her ego.

It made me smile when I picked up the latest "Cosmo Style" issue and they printed a picture of her in an ugly outfit on the "Where's their stylist?" page. I hope she sees it and has a fit.

Yes, she would never go to another island because her ego wouldn't allow it. She whines about it, but would be furious and plot to get herself back into media if they stopped paying attention.

I don't have the article here, but she said that before Lost started, she went to shopping malls so she could revel in the last hurrah of her anonymity.
