Kurt was a drug addict among other problems he had and maybe he wasn't the love of her life (although she sure acted as if he was for quite a while. I clearly remember her mourning in public and carrying on for quite some time about how much she loved him). Anyway, fine. It's okay to say that, but to say Ed Norton has been more of a daddy to Frances than Kurt ever was? Well, technically that may be right cause Ed Norton has been alive in recent years instead of dead, but it sounds really harsh and wrong.

Courtney's been trying to get Edward back for several years, and this is her latest attempt. By her own admission, Courtney dumped Edward because she wanted to go off and make a movie and he no longer fit in with her schedule--that's not exactly something you do to the love of your life.

Well, Kurt blew his head off and left his daughter alone. So, if Edward is still even marginally involved with Frances now, he's still done way more than Kurt. So I can see how Courtney would say that.

I know! She said the same thing on The View. The only time Frances was embarrassed of her was when she got fat. Come on! She seemed high as well. Not as bad as usual, but she definitely seemed to be on something. She seems to be going the way of Anna Nicole. So many years of drugs has made her permanently fucked up, even when she's sober.

Courtney's face is permanently pocked no thanks to the smack abuse.

Definitely. But Courtney also has always had a slightly slurry, messed up voice. Even when (allegedly) sober.
One of my favorite quotes of hers that I read online was when an interviewer asked her if her and Kurt were like Ophelia and Hamlet. She responded that they were like Hamlet & Hamlet.
Very telling, if you ask me. But I have an Herb Ritts print of hers hanging on my wall (it was on sale, okay?) and just picked up a signed copy of Dirty Blonde at Virgin. So what do I know?

I agree, Hunter. It is a very telling comment.
Having said that, I'm tempted to read her book.

It's more of a "book." It's intriguing, it's maddening, it's not altogether coherent.
So just like Clove herself.
That said, it's worth the price of admission for the Kinderwhore era pictures.

I'll have to check it out then. I liked her older albums. She sort of lost me around the time Celebrity Skin was released.
IIRC, she mentioned EN in the liner notes.

I can't find Celebrity Skin! Or Live through This! WAH!
Also: the Dedication is Awesome. Such a strange group of people that she knows.
