God, I remember those dark days when I couldn't turn on a radio without hearing this tool and his wished-he-was-Eddie-Vedder tooltastic voice. I once made my sister (who hates Creed/Stapp even more than I do) a "Creed Sucks" T-shirt. This was before hating Creed went mainstream.

Good lord. I've gone through some heinously horny times in my life but even I wouldn't troll a Denny's looking for a hook-up from a brief airport bar encounter. And if you knew how desperate I was in college, this would mean a heck of a lot.

I remember that story from ONTD, and as much as I find Stapp annoying, he didn't bug half as much as the self-righteous people who "punk'd" him and who are so damn in love with their own "coolness." Quite frankly, I fail to see what was so great about their stunt. They invited the guy to a Denny's, and he showed up. OHmigod thatz LOL! Except not. Quite frankly, he doesn't sound any more obnoxious than the other drunken louts perpetrating the prank, and even surprisingly nice (willingly posing with fans for photos at the Denny's). And then the one bitch actually robs him of his wallet, or tries to at least, and we're supposed to find that hilarious? What obnoxious hipster brats.

I didn't think it was possible to hate this mook any more than I already did. I was wrong.

All he needs to do now is pass judgement on other people's behavior because he's, like, the Best Christian Ever, and my journey toward the Dark Side will be complete.

ETA: I'm referring to his behavior in the first story, of course. I agree that it's the kids in the second story that were being jerks. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, though.

I remember a few years ago, whenever ABC or ESPN would air men's skating, nearly every friggin' competition they'd air some musical montage fluff piece of the men doing Quad Jumps and Triple Axels in fast forward while some horrid "Creed" song played in the background. I presumed this was an effort to make men's skating look less gay. It was so annoying. Then some friend of mine forced me to watch Creed's "Behind the Music" special on VH-1, and I can't even remember what it was about, but all I can remember was that it made me hate them even more.

I hope to God that Denny's story is true.
