Sabotage? No, I don't think so. Opportunistic? Definitely.
It reminds me of how CEMJ's culties (and CEMJ himself) were saying that the only reason that Tom Sneddon brought charges last year was to sabotage CEMJ's release of his greatest hits CD. Does Stapp have a cult of obsessed fans?

He had a concert in town last weekend and I just happened to drive by the theater (it's across the street from the mall where I was headed). I was tempted to roll down the window and yell out, "It's good to be the king!" (which he says on the sex tape) to the crowd lined up outside, but chickened out because taunting his fans wouldn't be very nice of me  |

Years ago, I read an interview w/ him. He kept talking about how religious he was, how he could never use women/groupies/fans for sex, that God didn't intend for him to be that way, blah blah blah. Ew, what a creepy little guy.
