Just a couple days ago, I caught an episode of "The Proud Family" (shut up! I like that show!) with Lou as a guest star. He sang "You'll Never Find" with the lyrics changed slightly. He sang it to convince a little girl that she'd never have anyone love her the way her family does. It was so, so sweet.

The man's voice was gorgeous and rich. Nothing was forced, nothing was mannered. I will miss him.

I'm so embarassed because I cannot remember any of his songs, but I KNOW I've had to have heard at least one. Probably I'd know it if I heard it.

Woah! I knew he'd sung with Sam, but I never made the connection on that song in particular. Listening to it now, it's clear as a bell that it's Lou doing the counterpoint. They both sound great.

Lou seemed like a wonderful person, RIP.

Hey, Sam fans on the boards. I read Sam's bio, and I was shocked to know Lou sang on one of my favorite Cooke songs. However, you certainly can hear Lou's voice ringing in the background.

Switching gears, I believe I read in People that Lou and his wife had a baby in '05. Wow. I need someone to confirm this, because I swear I read it in the magazine.
