How can there not be a thread for the one and only Steve Buscemi? He's not only one of the world's best character actors (Parting Glances, Reservoir Dogs, Fargo, The Sopranos and Ghost World, among other roles) he's also a great director (Trees Lounge, Animal Factory, the "U.S. Male" and "Cuts Like A Knife" episodes of Oz and the "Pine Barrens" episode of The Sopranos). He's so cool he's even got a movie character in Desperado named after him!
Best of all, he's not only a non-famewhore, this ex NYC firefighter helped his fellow comrades on 9/11 with no fanfare whatsoever.
Chat about anything Steve Buscemi-related here.

Best actor ever. Amazing director. Long Island's finest. Nothing but love here.

Whew... seeing his name on page 1 just gave me a major scare.
He was one of my first "Hey! It's that Guy!" actors... back when he was popping up in Airheads (stupid, but underrated) and Twenty Bucks (which I turned off after SB's segment). I am glad he's slowly worked his way into real recognition. I honestly don't know of anybody who doesn't like him.

I heard about his involvement in the 9/11 "clean-up" well after the fact -- which shows that he miraculously managed to do his part without drawing attention to himself. (Unlike, oh, say, Tom Cruise who merely stops to supposedly "aid" a fellow motorist and suddenly we all know about it.
I loved him in The Big Lebowski, the way he was always just two beats behind the conversation going on. And in Con Air, how did he ever manage to convey such menace without going over the top? In fact, he kind of underplayed that role, but still gave me the chills.

He is just completely awesome. For some reason I find it amusing that he appears to be buddies with Adam Sandler (he keeps popping up in his movies).
And even though he's a funny-looking guy, he actually makes a pretty good-looking woman.
I love what he did after 9-11. He just saw what happened, grabbed his old gear out of the back of the closet, went down there and said, "How can I help?" No one alerted the press, he didn't call his publicist first to line up a few photographers.

I am in love with Steve Buscami. I love everything he's done, bar brawl included.

He's the real deal and a total class act. There is nothing that is not awesome about the man. He was able to make his role in "Ghost World" completely non-squicky, which given how young Enid is, is amazing. Better yet, I was wondering why she would leave him! Behold the power of Buscemi.

Agreed. Steve Buscemi is the best. I love actors like him. (and there are far to few of them). For some reason, he always reminded me of William H Macy. (whom I think of as a great actor as well)

I am in love with Steve Buscami. I love everything he's done, bar brawl included. Well, that was Vince Vaughn's fault (he was drunk). Steve was just trying to calm things down and ended up being caught in the crossfire. Topic? I wish there were more people like him, not just in Hollywood but the world in general. I already respected him as an actor but his rejoining his old department and working long shifts post 9/11 just proved what kind of a person he is.
