I like her music okay, but she seems to have Tori Amos disease: legions of squeeing fangirls who wear their inner turmoil and resultant psychic scars on their sleeves. Like, why can't I like the music without identifying publically with some level of "pain?" Maybe it's just me and the lingering after-effects of living in a feminist compound. (I'm a loud'n'proud feminist, but there are some competitive aspects within assorted sociopolitical ideologies that make me irritable).
Also, PJ's frailties and tremulous delicacy seems a bit cultivated. And finally, that Bust interview really cheesed me off. I mean, people must have been asking her about feminism for the last 12 years and even if she isn't into feminism, I would have had much more respect for her if she had answered with anything other than a dim "duh, I don't think I know what that means." Chrissie Hynde is a non-feminist who has an articulate reply on the subject that states her philosophy and also corks up further commentary.
In sum: I like Rid of Me.

The Bust interview was indeed very annoying. Feminism is not a dirty word, for crying out loud.
She is an intensely talented musician but her later stuff leaves me cold. There's just something overly precious about her. Plus at least Tori Amos has a sense of humor.
