My love for him grows daily. He is one of the only celebrities where I wonder "why, god, why can't he be mine??" haha. So mature.

I must be crazy. I opened this thread thinking it was about Matt Dillon.
I just saw "Something About Mary" for the first time last week, maybe that's why he's on the brain.
I got nothing for Matt Damon. He was good in "The Departed"....

See, I just don't believe it for a second that any celebrity isn't in it for the fame unless it's some truly driven artiste who cannot live without their art. And that is not Matt Damon. He makes good, sturdy, better than average films. He seems like a nice guy, glad he married a non-celebrity, keeps a low profile, but bottom line he pursued and has continued to pursue fame. It's really kind of a weird thing to spend your life doing. If I were an actor, I wouldn't pursue it for the fame, but rather the money. No actors would admit to that though. But the odds of making as much money as these stars do is probably slim, so, yeah, they must be doing it for the fame too.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind acting for that kind of money either.
And yeah, most of them probably do it for the fame on some level, but I think the amount of fame they wish for is telling. There are those who will do anything and everything to be in the spotlight 24/7, and then there are those who probably enjoy the hell out of themselves while on stage or in front of the camera and probably like it when people come up and say "I loved you in that movie!" but after they get their kicks while working, they go home and go about their lives. I think Damon falls into this category for the most part.
And I think he's hilarious and a surprisingly good dancer. I remember when he did SNL a few years back the big story in the tabloids was about a post-breakup Britney and Justin running into each other at a club and having a dance-off - Damon acted out the dance off and was pretty good as well as funny as hell.

Oh god that was funny - I do like that he's able to do stuff like that. There are some actors who definitely wouldn't dream of participating in a skit like that. Even funnier because don't Jimmy & Matt have some kind of fake feud because Matt won't appear on the show?
