Not dead! Just thought I'd jump on the "there's a thread about HIM now?" bandwagon. Hopefully this is not a duplicate (I looked, honest). I'm probably going to regret starting this thread, because if there's any bad gossip lurking about dear old Conesy I'm not sure I wanna know. In the world of celebrities, he seems to have one of the most down-to-earth perspectives of himself. His interviews with Terry Gross are incredibly articulate and funny. And I would totally do him in a heartbeat. Because I'm bored: NPR goodness

I know he really bugs the crap out of some people, but I love the guy to death. I actually got teary-eyed during his Finland show where he got off the plane and there was a huge cheering crowd there to meet him.

He's all right, but it seems like his show only has a dozen sketch ideas that it repeats over and over, with only minor variations.

^I agree; the sketches are probably the worst part of the show. That being said, I still love Conan. We used to get together around campfires in high school and do "In the Year 2000" predictions. With flashlights and everything. My friend Nate would sing it. Good times. Did anyone see when he took his 1992 green Ford Taurus around like it was a sports car - slash - babe magnet? I laughed my ass off.

The canoe/train off the side of the cliff thing has got to go.
I loved when he went birdwatching at the park.

I love him too but I think he is best with Andy Richter. BRING BACK ANDY!

I remember the bit with the Taurus - my friend had the exact same car so there was plenty of teasing about it.
I also love the one where he goes out apple-picking or whatever with Mr. T - then on the way back they're sitting in the back of the truck, Conan has his guitar and is singing a song as they drive along, and then suddenly Mr. T is knocked over by a low-hanging tree branch. One of the best things ever.

Yes! The hay ride! Hee.
My friend had that same car too... same color and everything. Too funny.
I like all the stupid stuff he does at the beginning... the dances and stuff. Or when he goes by the camera like a big Conan-head blimp.
