Yes, he does love his Mum and he is sweet when he talks about his Nan too.
Well, my friends who have kids around 10 or so like him. I think there are quite alot of teenage girls around 14 or so who go to his shows in Australia.
I think his big band music is great too when he covers the classics.

Loves his mum? A little *too* literally? Wasn't he the one in the BI who got a bj from his mother before concerts?

He isn't big in the U.S. - but does he need to be? Let's face it. In order to be thought of as an "international" star you have to crack the US. Period. That you're the biggest thing since sliced bread in the UK is fine, but the big pay days are in the US. 1. The US market is not going to even look at you if your sexually is suspect. Robbie has been too coy for too long. Women want to think they can get w/ the guy that's singing the song. I don't think an American women alive things that they can get with that. 2. He didn't do well when he was on the J Leno show when Couric was hosting. He dry humped Katie and you just don't do that. 3. He's not beautiful to look at. His looks are "challenging" 4. Physically he's gummy. I don't know what it is about British artist and their avoidance of the gym. For the American females to fall over you - you have to be cut. Period. Also, we're not interested in hearing how difficult it is for you to maintain your weight and that you have to resort to diet shakes to keep your girlish figure. 5. You can't be a white rapper in the US unless you're eminem. To even attempt a spit (and he's attempted to do it - Ala Aaron Carter) gets you no cred here. 6. He can't dance. 7. He's a passable singer. He can't raise any hell with his voice. It's serviceable at best. Maybe Robbie should just turn into Justin Timberlake then? Ah, I think Robbie is just fine and I don't think he should try to make it in the US. He has tried it, failed and has come back to Europe. You guys can keep the perfect Jessica, Ashlee, Paris, Britney, John Mayers, Josh Grobans and all, Robbie obviously can't keep up with those.

Like Robbie would need a bj from his mom! Whatevs. Are you sure you're not recalling a BI in which a girl gives a bj to her dad before each show? (Ashlee, I'm looking at you...acid reflux? Ah, I see what's going on now.)
Robbie's sweetness toward his mom makes me say "Aww!" and I love it.
P.S., you know I'm teasing with you about your age, misspriss. I've just been feeling old lately, so I am envying anyone who seems to be under 30!

Oh, so much to disagree with! Women want to think they can get w/ the guy that's singing the song. I don't think an American women alive things that they can get with that. He's a passable singer. He can't raise any hell with his voice. It's serviceable at best. I honestly think Robbie will sleep with anyone. He's that desperate for love, attention and approval. Everybody can get with that. And if your definition of a good voice is belting it out a la Mariah or maybe some raspy heavy-metal blast, then yeah, his voice is just serviceable. But to my ears, he has an incredible instrument -- and one that he alters specifically to suit the song. He can vary the tone of his voice from warm to icy cold; he's rich on the notes that need to resonate and wispy on the notes that need to float. He's not just an excellent technical singer, he's an expert at using his voice to interpret a song.

Geez, people, back off. I just asked if anyone remembered that BI and that it was supposed to be him. Christ on a cracker!

He does have a terrific voice and could even at one point have worthily claimed some of Freddy Mercury's crown.
....if he wasn't such a bitter self-pitying closet case who clearly loathes women and himself.
Can't stand the guy. Obviously.

Well, no, actually he's not coy about his sexuality at all. He is known for picking up women at his concerts and spending the night with them. Plenty of those stories going around. If anything it shows he's a bit desperate for love and looking for it at all the wrong places.
He likes to play with people's mind when it comes to the gay rumours, for he knows they're there and not going away anytime soon. I mean he has a tattoo that represents his best mate and he has one of Robbie. If one thing, he's very gay-friendly and will fill his interviews with many many innuendos, especially in interviews for gay magazines. And I guess that's tougher for the average American to accept than one who is very, very straight or gay.
Can you notice I'm friends with someone who is a really big Robbie fan?
