Apparently, he's in the hospital:

SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards was hospitalized for a mild concussion he suffered while vacationing in Fiji, reportedly after falling out of a palm tree.

Richards, 62, was injured earlier this week and flown to a New Zealand hospital for treatment, band spokeswoman Fran Curtis said in a statement Saturday.

"Following treatment locally and as a precautionary measure, he flew to a hospital accompanied by his wife, Patti, for observation," Curtis said.

The statement did not elaborate on Richards' condition or explain how he was injured.

But media reports in Australia and New Zealand said Richards hurt his head after falling out of a palm tree at an exclusive Fiji resort and remained hospitalized in Auckland.

I like him a lot and I'm glad he's alright, but what the hell was he doing climbing a palm tree???

Ok, that story about the palm tree actually made me laugh, and I love Keith. That is, I love him the way you love a talented, musically inspiring, strangely cool zombie. Because he is a zombie. He has to be. Everytime I see a pic of him, he just looks too desiccated to actually have blood in his veins.

Is he actually going to be in the Pirates movies with Depp and Bloom btw? I read that somewhere ages ago, but never saw it confirmed.

What is it with Keith and trouble in tropical places. A few years back nude pictures of him on the beach leaked out to the net. Yup, if your imagination is as good as mine...

Probably if he'd lived better he would have been better looking in his older years (he DOES have great bone structure in his face) but then that wouldn't be much fun, would it?

Isn't that the running joke though? Keith Richards still being alive after all the drugs, alcohol and whatever substance he's abused in his lifetime. It would be very ironic if a simple accident would end his life.

Everytime I see pictures of him in his youth I'm shocked at how handsome he was. He really lost his looks quick, though. Say no to drugs! They'll make you look ugly!
