I had no idea her son was enrolled at The Citadel. Wow. Me either! That fact makes Elisabeth look like an even bigger crybaby. Keep crying, twit.

Elisabeth herself probably doesn't even know what she meant by that. All she does is repeat talking points.

Elisabeth herself probably doesn't even know what she meant by that. All she does is repeat talking points. Elisabeth is crying because she wants to be back on The View. Why? Because she knows that her time at Fox News Faux "News" will come to an end the moment she turns forty. I think she's like the third or fourth blonde they've had on " Fox Faux and Friends" meanwhile the men stay on.

Elisabeth herself probably doesn't even know what she meant by that. All she does is repeat talking points. Exactly. She's just heard that liberals hate the military, so she ran with that. Joy was right to ask her to explain herself, because honestly, she can't. I've read a rumor that Meghan McCain is being considered for the "conservative" slot. I actually wouldn't mind that. I admittedly don't know much about her, but from what I've seen, she seems like a fairly reasonable person who doesn't foam at the mouth and scream conservative talking points that may or may not make sense/apply to the situation. And hey, she wrote a book with Michael Ian Black, so she can't be all bad.

Meghan McCain is reasonable, and it's possible to engage in a healthy debate without her voice going into dog-whistle territory. The few times I've seen her on MSNBC, she seemed nice, but ill-prepared. She couldn't readily call up facts to back up her arguments. She looked a little uncomfortable, like she couldn't really keep up. 'The View' might be more her speed.

Yeah, Meghan is definitely more reasonable than Elisabeth. She can acknowledge when the other side has a legit point and can make her point without resorting to hysterics. I do agree with FotoStoreSheila she did come across as ill prepared on MSNBC appearances. But a little prep work each night can fix that. I also think Meghan has a mind of her own and won't feel the need to stick to Fox talking points.
And yes Joy nailed it. Elisabeth is pissed because she wanted to be asked back. Of course, Elisabeth would say something inflammatory without anything to back it up. Rosie was against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. That doesn't mean she hates the military. She admits she was little uncomfortable with Parker attending military school but ultimately gave in because she wanted him to be happy.
Rosie has many faults but I think she's really good at interviewing and engaging with people. Also, during her initial View runs she convinced TPTB to shows that focused on some interesting topics like adoption and depression. As long as she can keep her temper in check she should do well on The View again.

I'm surprised Donald Trump hasn't issued some sort of response.
I don't hate Rosie. I think she's high maintenance, and she has some anger issues. Having said that, I still won't be watching The View anytime soon.

Wait - what do you mean? Who withdrew what? I think Tigertoo wrote something, then reconsidered it, but we can't delete posts here. So Tigertoo edited the post to say her remarks were "withdrawn".
