By royal watchers, I don't mean actual experts or people who report on royals on a regular basis. I'm referring to a few message board/forum situations. I'm not sure what the basis of most of their vitrol is. I don't think it's jealousy. They just dislike her to the point where they see pure evil in the most mundane of situations.

Well, he did find the time to go dancing with an unknown blonde in a nightclub before the christening of his twins. I'm not saying that he's cheating on Mary but imagine it had been her being filmed like that (they just showed it on some celeb news show here). She wouldn't last another two seconds as Crown Princess.

My first reaction is what an asshole. I know relationships are complicated, but so many of these male royals seem to live in a state of arrested development, stuck at the age of about 18. Grow up, jackass, and if there are problems in your relationship, work on it instead of embarassing yourself and your wife. I apologise, but I have a soft spot for Mary.

Mary used to be my favorite Crown Princess. When she first came on the scene I thought she seemed self-conscious but maybe was reserved and that over time she would be more at ease. However, now I just find her manner to be somewhat cold and put on. In a word, she seem fake.

I said up-thread that I was surprised about the pregnancy announcement because I have thought that Fred has looked less than thrilled to be around Mary for some time now. However, Mary’s brother, father, sister and best friend went to an afterparty[/color] (after the christening) with Frederik to the same nightclub. I can’t imagine that they would have gone (especially to that particular nighclub) if Mary was upset about the reports or if they thought that Frederik was cheating. JMO. Mary didn’t go.

However, whether or not anything was really going on, when you are in your 40s, married, with 4 children, out at 3:30 in the morning dancing with a young girl, it looks bad, and Frederik, knowing he is in the public eye, shouldn’t have put himself in that position. Guy needs to grow up.

There was a Danish documentary on Mary when they first got engaged - I think you can find it on Youtube. It shows them driving around Australia and she's driving and at some point he actually shifts the gears! She's like, "Frederik!" I mean, he is/was seriously immature. If he wasn't the crown prince of Denmark, I am pretty convinced he would be that overgrown frat guy who is still hitting on girls at bars and clubs. I think she's done an admirable job of being slightly tacky to very elegant and, for god's sake, she now has 4 very young children (5 if you count Frederik).
