I think she looks like she could be Lindsay Lohan's little sister. Actually that's who I thought she was when I saw "Aquamarine".

I finally found out who Jojo is (hey, I live under a rock, what can I say). MTV (or MTV2, or Fuse, or one of those channels) was on today, and I catch this young girl singing in a grown-up voice about grown-up stuff. It was an odd experience.

I don't know what song it was, but the video had her singing in the rain and lots of shots of soccer playing.

The music isn't my cup of tea at all, but I thought she had a nice voice. It was just so weird to see it coming out of such a young body.

Each time I listen to "Leave (Get Out)", I like it more and more. So what if she was only 13 when it came out?

One small quibble-Maybe she should drop the "JoJo" and go by her real name. It's pretty.

"Leave (Get Out)" sounds mature but the lyrics are vague enough to could cover typical eighth-grade melodrama as well. It was her cover of SWV's "Weak" at thirteen that made me a little uncomfortable, but I do like her and hope she doesn't have trashy photos on her Myspace.

According to a friend of mine, who loves her music, she has some song about a boy spending the night over at her place. I kind of freaked when my pal mentioned that, saying "she means come over for a slumber party, doesn't she?" And my friend said no. Erm. My dad would beat my ass if I was singing that stuff at her age, but I guess her parents are cool with it.
