Whew! When I saw this thread, I had feared the worst.
Can they *really* replace Bob Barker on the Price is Right?

Well they managed to replace Rod Roddy when he died, so I'm sure they can try.

Sadly, yes. He had colon and breast cancer and died three years ago.

Well they managed to replace Rod Roddy when he died, so I'm sure they can try. The late Ray Combs would have been a good replacement. Other than that, I have nothing. Rod Roddy was recognizable as well, but I consider Bob Barker as more of the face for the Price is Right than Rod Roddy, but YMMV. |

Well I said they could try, I doubt anyone will care as much about it once Bob leaves. I predict a sharp ratings drop once the new host comes in.

It's odd because yesterday I was just talking to a friend saying that I wanted to try and get on the show during my upcoming vacation, then this news hit. *whew* I still have until June to try and get on.  Well, he is getting up in years... |
