I've trained myself to stay away from that type, but I can kinda see the temptation. He's probably fun to hang out with if he's not strung out and you're not a mackable chick.

I love this guy and I love Smith and Ben too. SO glad Jason was able to get off the smack. He had it bad.

I like them in all their goofy, sophmoric glory. I love the way they call out people in Hollywood who are jerks who take themselves too seriously too.

And I'll always respect them for being down to earth and not forgetting their friends or where they came from, and especially for treating me and others with respect during auditions.

Well, he's sober now, so I don't think you'd have to worry about him being strung out.

I hope he stays sober, and I didn't find him attractive as Jay, but with the shorter hair, DANG!

I agree with the douchebag assessment, Hobocamp. He really sets my teeth on edge. I loved Dogma, despite the presence of Jay, and I used to have a little crush on Silent Bob, but then Kevin Smith turned out to be every bit as much of an asshole as Jason Mewes, so now I avoid them both at all costs. (I do admire Smith's devotion to Mewes through his addiction, though.)

Well, I compare that to my own feelings of rage that make me want to beat people up. Since I don't want to get arrested, I limit it to beating up characters in City of Villains and/or City of Heroes.

I've always thought he was funny. I like the story that Kevin Smith tells when he talks about Alan Rickman coming on the set of Dogma. He told Mewes something like, "Rickman is a real actor so you can't be f*cking up all the time." IIRC, Mewes came in with all of the lines memorized.

I can't believe how different he looks in the promos for Clerks II. He looks so much healthier.
He cracks the 12 year old boy in me up.

I think he is a mysoginist and would not date him if my life depended on it, but I love love love Jay and Silent Bob. Does anyone remember the shorts that they used to do for MTV?
