I have never really noticed her style, (the drunken mess thing is quite distracting) but those are some great dresses. That being said, her tatoos are horrific. Did she get then done under the daze of alcohol? I'm seeing her in concert in April, hopefully she'll show up sober.

She was off her nut in that Letterman performance. And looking particularly fugalicious with her crazy Marge Simpson hair. I don't know if it was the drugs or alcohol or whatever, but damn, that girl has as much stage presence as a brick.
Sigh. I'm so sick of all the drugged and alcohol induced young singers/famewhores/actors/footyplayers out there at the moment.
ETA: In that Letterman performance her back up singers are freaking hillarious. Seriously, they are grooving their asses off. Hee.

She's one of those celebs that I wish I'd only have "seen" via her CD. I think she's a mess and unfortunately with her problems and behavior, it doesn't look as if she'll amount to anything but a flash in the pan unless she gets her shit together. But she strikes me as one of these people who thinks getting her shit together would be uncool. And it's a shame, really, she has a lot of talent.

I got Back to Black on the recommendation of this thread and it's really good. Greecies know best. But like snarkblossom said, she seems to think getting her shit together isn't very cool and I'm going to be sad to see someone this talented self-destruuct.

She's doing a show in Philly this May, but I don't think I'll go. I like her and all, but she doesn't seem like a very good live performer.
I like Lily Allen better, I'm going to see her in about 2 weeks and I'm way excited.

Back to Black still hasn't grown on me. I don't mind it, but for me personally, it does not live up to the hype. I just think it has a really monotonous sound.
I was really excited to buy this album after I heard her cover of 'Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow' because I thought that her voice sounded really different to the way she does in 'Rehab' so was looking forward to the album because I thought it would be a bit more versatile. But she just sounds exactly the same on every single song to me. Same tone, same rythym. So yeah, I'm pretty disappointed.

I love "Just Friend" and its reggae beat. I think the album is refreshing, because the sound is unique.

I bought both her albums lately, after having heard people raving about her for the past two or three years. Don't think that I could listen to them from start to end as albums, because as people have mentioned, they're kind of same-y in terms of the sound. And I do think a more pared down sound in terms of production would be nicer. That said, when I've got my media player on shuffle and one of her songs comes on randomly, I always enjoy it. My favourite now is "Love is a Losing Game", but I think its the kind of album where I'll discover and become enraptured by a new song every now and then. But apart from her talent, I worry about her. I read a Washington Post article where ?love from the Roots said (and I'm paraphrasing) he kind of hopes she doesn't get it together, because then her music might not be as good, or something. I found that sort of disturbing. I hope she does get it together, because the things I hear about her (the last few paras of the Post article, for example) make me feel sad for her. I expected the Letterman clip to be really crazy, but it wasn't as bad as others I've seen (back-up singers = totally awesome with their hand jive and all, by the way). Someone (maybe not here) talked about Amy jumped when Letterman approached, like she was too cracked out to notice him approaching, but I think it was just that she hadn't realised that he was holding out his hand for her to shake. It wasn't an outrageously weird reaction -- I think that, unsurprisingly, her reputation is really colouring how people perceive everything she does.

I can't get "You Know I'm No Good" out of my head.
I love that song. Love it, love it, love it!
