I love him. I named my cat Chandler.

Met him twice. First time was better so I'll save it for later. Second time was at a taping of a sitcom that his dad was on. Friends had just started, maybe four episodes had aired. I told him that I was enjoying his show, and he flipped out in perfectly Chandler-ish fashion and started badgering me with questions: "Really? You like it? WHAT do you like? What do you think is funny? Do your friends watch it? They DO? Do they think it's funny? Will you keep watching it? PLEEEEASE! You will? Thank you SO MUCH!" I tried to answer as best I could. He was pathetically grateful and I wished him good luck with the show. Hah!
First time I met him he was trolling for girls, with Hank Azaria, no less, who had recently been dumped by Julie Warner, at a lame pool hall/bar on the Third Street Promenade. Hand to G*d, this is a true story. I was with some friends and they started chatting us up. I let them go about an hour before I admitted I knew exactly who they were (they thought they were getting really far with the "I've been on tv" lines). Hank was playing the "I've just been dumped, want to help nurse my broken heart by blowing me" card, but Matt was totally working the charming funny man angle, and it worked on one of my friends, who took him home. She said he wasn't that great and it was painfully awkward in the morning.

He is in "The Ron White Story" on TNT this weekend. OK, I might not have that title exactly right, but I am close. Somehow I don't think he is playing Ron White, the Blue Collar comedian. Just saw the commercial... it's The Ron Clark Story. Although hearing Chandler tell the tater salad story would be pretty funny.

Matthew Perry is one of the few actors that I like but I couldn't tell you why. I was never a big Friends watcher. I think I've seen one movie with him but yet, I really like him. I have no good reason why.

Did you love him when he was in 90210 as the suicidal tennis star, Roger Azarian? Did you love him when he was in "She's Out of Control"? Because I did. When he showed up on Friends, I was like, "It's Timothy from 'She's Out of Control'!" Good times. How about as ill-fated Sandy on "Growing Pains"?? He broke my heart. Sniff, Sandy, sniff. I still cry when I watch that episode. I thought that Tracy Gold did a very good job.

I just remember Jennifer Aniston sobbing about "how good he is! He just doesnt know Oprah! Your so good, Matthew" because of his drug problems on Oprah during the last season of Friends, and it made me think he was probably a good guy. Plus I liked Fools Rush in. Yes I am the one person.

I have no good reason why. That's how I feel, and I loathe Friends. I remember when he did a guest spot on Just the Ten of Us and later played Carol's boyfriend on Growing Pains.

I never liked Friends all that much, but I also liked Chandler. MP somehow managed to take an underwritten, unexceptional character and make him both funny and oddly touching at times (at least until his relationship with Monica and the drug problems IRL sapped the life out of him). I don't think he's got much of a future though, so I hope he didn't snort all of his Friends money up his nose.

I didn't see Growing Pains but I hear that was a sad, sad time.
I just flashed suddenly to the Friends episode when he and Joey are trying to be like Richard. Chandler walks in with that mustache and that stupid, stupid look on his face--hilarious.

I just found his Punk'd episode over at You Tube. I love the whole 'you can't buy this car, it's yellow' and 'I don't have to use the term apple pie guy again do?'.
