I feel so bad for his mother and his stepfather, Keith Morrison. No parent should have to outlive a child.

His poor parents and stepfather showed up to the scene. They just looked completely shell-shocked. They're in their 80s and I can't imagine what a toll this must have on all of them.

My bestie and I were talking about how we knew he was a talent before everyone else because we knew him as Sandy on Growing Pains. The episode where he died had a huge impact on us, I think it was the first time a character on a show we watched (we were probably not even double digits) and a character that we loved, actually died.

Wishing peace to him, and comfort to his friends and family. How very sad.

Not shocked either, but it is sad.
Is he the Friends star who just came out with a book? Or the one that claimed that he couldn't remember anything for an entire season of the show, or a year, because he was so out of it?

My husband gave it to me for Christmas and, after reading it, I was stunned about how much his body had been through. He was very dedicated to helping others with their addictions. I think both he and Courteney Cox (who was dealing with her father’s cancer diagnosis and death and her own fertility issues during the show) have said they couldn’t remember big chunks of the series. I was in high school when Friends began and it had a huge impact on me. While I’m not totally surprised he died, it’s still hard to wrap my head around the fact that one of them is gone.

I'm having a hard time with processing this. I feel like he might have been overworked from playing pickle ball just two hours earlier and getting into the hot tub, that was not a good mix. Maybe he had a heart attack? Or something like that? Oy. This is really hitting home. He was my fave out of all the Friends casts. I am feeling the same way. Obviously, I didn't know him personally, but this is just hitting the most of a celebrity death because I felt like I grew up with him. I knew him before Friends and felt like I saw him in all my favorite shows growing up. I can't imagine how the rest of the cast feels.

They've completed the autopsy, but pending toxicology results. I clearly don't know enough about law enforcement, but it gives me pause when I read that the homicide-robbery detectives are handling the case and that "no foul play" is suspected. Is that normal?

He was a 54-year-old man on the heavier side (per recent pics) plus all the health issues that his addictions caused took a toll on his body and heart. Maybe he had a heart attack or stroke in the jacuzzi alone and drowned without anyone there to help him. I really hope substances were not involved. I hope he finally did beat his addictions. His death is a tragedy, but to me it would be worse if it happened as the result of a relapse.
All of the clips of Chandler just remind me what a great comedic actor he was. I think a lot of the Friends characters probably could've been played by any actor and worked, but I can't think of any other actor who would've worked and made Chandler the character he was. Especially in the early seasons, Chandler was what kept me watching.

Might just be for any unusual or unexplained death, especially in a decedent who was known to have had substance abuse issues in the past? Or maybe something was found at the scene (e.g., illicit substances) that warranted it?
