Ditto. Audrey seem classier and more likeable.

Ooops, sorry Yuna, I remembered (misremembered?) that she didn't much formal education. My apologies.

I finally got my October Vanity Fair -- fucking Conde Nast serves the people who actually subscribe LAST -- and that article on how she managed her public image over her lifetime is pretty interesting. She was certainly bisexual, just as Spencer Tracy was.

Hepburn being bisexual is not totally outside the realm of possibility to me, but I don't buy that her relationship with Spencer Tracy wasn't intimate or sexual. He practically left his wife for her, set up house with her, etc. It doesn't make any sense to me. That's true, if they just wanted beards then I think they'd have stayed in their respective marriages. Otherwise, I love Katharine Hepburn. Bringing Up Baby is one of my all time favorite movies, and the cast of A Philadelphia Story is the only reason I can tolerate that film, not scream at it.

Spencer Tracy was quite the ladies man. He had affairs with lots of his leading ladies, Ingrid Bergman and and Loretta Young to name two. I don't believe he was bisexual.

Read the article, is all I'm sayin'. You might come away with a different take.

I always thought of her as being bi. Interesting that it seems like so many of the leading ladies were back in the golden era.

With the exception of Bringing Up Baby, I can't stand Katharine Hepburn. She just grates. At least with Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, you got a big personality to go with the arrogance.
