The dog is here. I just hope Ellen was carrying it around for some weird reason and it wasn't actually part of the ceremony.

I wish them the best too. Knowing Ellen and Portia's dog woes a couple years back, it seems they love their dogs so I wouldn't be surprised if it was involved in their wedding.

I think it's cute when people include their dogs in a wedding ceremony. It adds a little bit of lightness and humor to what can sometimes be a really boring day for the guests.
How did they get together?

They were both in a serious relationship and living with their partners when Ellen and Portia met at the VH-1 Big in 04 and the rest they say is history.

Portia was seeing an artist called Christine/Christina and apparently she was devastated when Portia left her. Like suicidal devastated. Portia came home one day and said "I'm with Ellen" and that was that. And I think, IIRC, that Christina/e and Portia even had matching tattoos on their wedding fingers (so I guess they were bound to split anyway if the law of matching ink is anything to go by ...).

I thought Portia was dating Francesca Gregorini (Ringo Starr's stepdaughter) when she left her for Ellen. |
