Portia was with Francesca Gregorini. Not someone called Christine/Christina. Portia and Francesca had a commitment ceremony where Portia with her long blonde hair, let loose, and Francesca with her black hair, let loose, exchanged vows. They had rings tattooed on their fingers. A few of their commitment ceremony photos are on the web, IIRC. I think that Tatiana Von Furstenberg (ex-SiL to CPMCoG) was at the ceremony, but I can't be sure. Both are Brown alumni and are now close friends, although Tatiana was about 3 yrs below Francesca at the time.

Ellen was also in a relationship with Alexandra Hedison. The two were living together and had been a couple for four or five years. I think Ellen actually asked Alex to continue to live with her while she figured out things with Portia. Like as her backup girlfriend.

Portia has hideous taste in clothes, so I was excited to see her wedding gown. It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be though. Oh Portia, you disappointed me. Bring back your gowns with diamond necklines shaped as snakes and what looks like horse hair all over the hem.
