Greatest RnB band of the 80s, no doubt. All their albums are classics and dear god, who can forget Morris Day and Jerome in Purple Rain. One of the worst travesties in music is that this band split.

Thanks for the thread- it reminded me to go to Itunes and download "Jungle Love".
Its a shame that the band split, was it recent? Because I remember seeing them in a Kevin Smith movie just a few years ago.

"JEROME! Bring me my mirror!" I love that they have a thread! That is all.

Let us not forget "Jerk Out" from about 1990/91.

Awwwww. Loved Morris and Jerome! So, Prince was in that movie too, huh?

The Time split up after Purple Rain, but Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were fired by Prince after the band's second cd

When I saw this thread, all I could think of was that line from the end of "Jay and Silent Bob":
"It's Morris Day and the muthafuckin' Time!"
(Apologies if I botched the quote.)
